To comment on a few of the ideas kicking around: First, stick with the dasher-boards style American indoor soccer if you can. If you are just getting started, you'll have a hard time attracting new business selling something as fringe as futsal is in this country (not hating on the game, just giving what I believe to be good business advice)

The nicest indoor facility in which I ever got to play featured hockey-style dasherboards complete with plexiglass going up another few feet above the walls on the straight portions spectator side--basically just like a hockey rink but without having to worry about putting glass along the curves or on the side with the benches since there were only bleachers on one side of the field. Here's a visual example of what I mean. I know a lot of places are just going with three foot tall dasher boards (including most MISL teams), but the ball goes out of bounds far too often for my tastes when playing on that type of field (amateur adults tend to not be so good at the controlled, keep the ball on the turf game you see in the pros).

I would also strongly vote for the Field Turf-type surface mentioned by many others (long blades with rubber pellets in between)--it plays much more like grass (players can even wear their outdoor cleats on many of these types of surfaces), cuts down on injuries and rug burns and, speaking as a goalie, it makes a world of difference in terms of comfort and safety.

Best of luck to you--If I lived closer to Indianapolis, I'd be very excited about the possibility of a new facility opening.
