When I saw the first replay of the penalty on Sunday I thought clear cut. Then when I saw the repeats of it 4 or 5 times I thought Rooney should have been booked. Also what the hell was going on with the collision between Rio and Ljunberg how did Rio not get sent off. He was the last man and he pushed him down. The rules state if this happens the defender should walk but he didn't even get a booking what's going on there.

Well with all this done and dusted congratulations 2 Man Yoo on their victory and "congratulations" to Ruud for his second goal of the season :D

Lets just hope the guys bounce back from this which I'm sure they will.

    Cheers

    no no no!!!

the rules (law 12, section 5) state that for 19 of the 20 prem clubs this should happen - but we all know who gets the exception, as was proved yesterday!

How you mow us down with your rapier wit!! I can see from your rep line that you have been doing this in other places as well. Keep going, I've always wanted to see someone with TWO negative rep marks.

Most of it is from one thread. PM Rick if you want to know. How many neg reps are required for two?

Yes those calls were bad against Arsenal and really unfortunate still the game is 90mins and Arsenal could have done better but didn't. I always tend to think that it is poor to blame the ref on bad calls. It happens. (and sometimes if you protest enough you can even get the ref to change his mind :D ) It is what the team does all the other time that matters and Arsenal just didn't play up to where they can.

I said something like this to my English friends here in England when they moaned about poor ref calls in the Portugal match. Again it shouldn't come down to 2 or 3 calls if you outplay the opposition.

I think Arsenal fans have a right to complain about some things. Referee judgements are just that - judgements. When they don't go your way - like in a court of law or something - you complain, but that's all you can do really. At the end of the day, the result stands and I'm grateful that we played well enough to beat Arsenal.

I have no idea if there even is such a thing, but I do know that trolling isn't a good idea. I would suggest that if you want to post on the Arsenal board you do it respectfully. If you want to talk about how awful we are, you have your own board for that.

BTW, this advice applies to me as well.

As pissed off as I am about the result I just keep telling myself that if it wasn't for a few poor judgements we never would've reached 49 anyways. Well put.

No idea, but I will say that apart from one or two "choicy" posts, Teso has been ok in the Arsenal forum. The neg reps were a result of some (and im being tactful here!!) sensitive remarks made elsewhere that bear no relation to football.

That call wasn't made in 2nd-half stoppage time and it wasn't the only goal they scored. Arsenal had the opportunity to take the game back and didn't.

There is no doubt that to go 49 league matches unbeaten luck must be on your side more than occasionally.

That being said....in all honesty....if the roles in yesterday's match were reversed don't tell me you wouldn't be displeased.

Well two bad things and 1 good thing came out of yesterday's games.

    Arsenal DREW against southampton.
Chelsea THRASHED west brom and all the hard work that Man U (if they did work hard we outplayed them) :D they threw it away because they LOST to Portsmouth.

RUUD has still only got 2 goals :D
