I saw a list of some of the referee's and assistant referee's for the interliga. Are they trying to save money or try out new people??

well from what i see on the list it is not the MLS referee's. And I heard the first night there were major mess ups..
If your ear is on the grind stone you hear that there was some problems before these games were assigned.
And they are sending 3rd level referee's to do these games.

saw Prus doing the game thursday night. He did a good job controling them with a language barrier.

I know several of the TXS referees who worked the matches (mostly as 4th officials). Although I have not talked to any of them personally, I expect they were looking for a mix of Fifa's, MLS referees, and other NRs or NRCs who could potentially be MLS referees.
