I know that he was put on IR, but do we know when he will return? It seems a long time for a muscle pull or could it be season ending injury?

Of course, the SJ Mercury will never give us any real news...

Good sources (which I won't name) say he is out for the rest of the season..I hope it's not true but the source is very reliable.

I thought it was his leg, but he said last night that it was a groin pull. No further info given.

We talked to his agent (I forget his name) in the parking lot before Wednesday's game. He said Troy is right now waiting to see if he is going to have the hernia surgery. I forget why he said Troy's waiting right now (he told us). I don't think his injury will heal on its own in time for him to be able to play this year.

The agent said if he has the surgery, and all goes well, he could be in the postseason. As of now, he is probably out for the remainder of the regular season.

Oh man, I'm gonna cry. In fact, all Quakes fans might be crying if this is true.

Yeah, that's the news he gave us also. He told us they were going to give it one more week to see if it improved enough on its own to let it ride out and get better. If it didn't, then they were just going to do the surgery and tak care of it.

It's a sports hernia...not a regular one. (I have noc lue wut the difference is, but from the way he was talking, its rather significant). Troy was talking to Craig Wabel (sp?) abotu it and the way Craig was talking, it sounds as if it's a one-time kind fo thing. You get it once and then thats it, but when u get it, it takes a while to get rid fo it.

I hope he's back before season end though...poor cowboy.

Troy told me these same things. They're pretty sure it's a sports hernia, which is different from a regular hernia. Most of the time they won't show up on xrays and whatnot. So surgery is generally the only option.

He told me they wanted to wait one more week to see how things go. If things aren't better, they'll do the surgery. It's a 6-8 week recovery time if all goes well.

When I told him that would be the season for him. He said, "That's okay, I've been through worse. Besides, I'll just have to be comeback player next year!"

Hope he gets better soon! I really miss him out there!
