A bit early for the game thread, but saw a note that Simek is playing Saturday before heading into surgery on a knee Sunday.
Anyone have details on exactly what happened, or have I just missed this in other threads?

Convey and Marcus will probably play, but on 102 points there is no way to tell what coppell will do. Wendy is officially safe and is sitting several players on precaution, Simek is already on his way to surgery, so he can be risked, I guess.

Rumor confirmed. Not so interesting just to "hear" for it - I'm sure the ROS will have the highlights.

Simek clears well on a shot by John Oster.

Reading seem to have started well and had the most of the attacking play. Convey's had a few runs and one shot so far and forced a couple of corners.

Game is quiet. Wednesday are looking "uninventive" and inexperienced according to the announcers. MH hasn't been tested and the announcers are waiting for Reading to turn on the juice and score.

Oster cross to Doyle, who heads to goal. Offside and straight to keeper. Play started by good run from Convey.

Convey showed up in the middle and made a bit of a run before passing off to Kits for that score.

Wed. have some pressure. Good cross that's just a touch too far. "Final ball is lacking"

Convey challenges Simek. Announcers say a bit clumsy but get a bit of the ball. PK... score to Wed.

Wed. giving pressure. Simek takes a shot - nothing.

The crowd has woken up and is making an awful racket.

Sonko with beautiful defensive header to tun away a nice Wed. cross.

Reading changes... Hunt in for Convey, Gunnarsson in for Sidwell. Wed change Burton in for Best (straight striker change)

Since the Wed goal, they've been playing with more confidence and Reading need to rise to the challenge.

Simek has been playing very well - esp. in second half.

MacLean with a shot, MH with a great save. Rebound to MacLean that somehow goes wide.

    Still 1-1

    Kitson off, Long on.

Cross from Makin to Hunt. Simek defends denying. Corner to Reading. Good effort but effort didn't have enough on it and went straight to keeper.

Simek is everywhere on the field.

Wed. with a shot straight at MH.

Hunt on the counter - crosses too close to the keeper. Nothing from it.
