According to the Bayern website Ballack and Pizarro are both out for the match. Pizarro is also doubtful for the Celtic match on Wednesday. I reckon Ballack is being held out more to rest for Celtic than inability to play if called upon. Plus to give Scholl a start.

    Probable line ups:

VfL Wolfsburg: Jentzsch - Sarpei, Rytter, Biliskov, Weiser - Müller, Karhan, Thiam, Schnoor - Klimovicz, Petrov

Bayern Munich: Kahn – Sagnol, Linke, Kuffour, Rau – Salihamidzic, Hargreaves, Scholl, Zé Roberto – Makaay, Santa Cruz

Did I miss news on D'Alessandro?

That's strange to hear, because he wasn't injured in WC qualifiers (although he played like he was against Chile).

d'alessandro got a red card in the 1860 munich game so he couldnt play against bayern. Too bad since one of the things that made this match interesting was to see him against bayern. (maybe next time)

According to the official website, Ballack, Pizarro, Ze Roberto and Sagnol are all doubtful for the Celtic match. Sagnol's chances were called "not so good," while Pizarro's were called very doubtful.

    Ouch.
