Ridiculous. I'm very dissapointed in the way Ancelotti handled this situation. Rivaldo was NOT given the same chances other players were, and although I know he played like crap in a lot of games last year, his complete exclusion from the first team is inexcusable. This isn't Ba or Helveg, he wasn't THAT bad. He rarely even found space against small teams. How does this look, benching players with such high reputations, on Milan's part?

If it weren't for the scattered "Rivaldo unhappy in Milan" or "Ancelotti says Rivaldo will play this weekened" reports, I would've forgotten he was in Milan's squad by now.

I'm glad he's gone. He played like crap and expected a frist team shirt. That's not gonna happen at Milan. Tomasson played better than him and got less minutes. Yet, I didn't hear him whining. Now we can get on with things this year. Borriello and Tomasson will now be given more chances to play.

Good ridence, when you get paid that much to play, instead of sulking and complaining about your situation, you should be doing everything in your power to get back on the first team. As good a player he may be, he lacked the heart, dedication and will to change he's situiation, he's better off with a fresh start somewhere else.

Yeah, I thought it was weird when he came out on the field before the Lecce match. Since he decided to come back there is only one reason why he did this. Nobody wants him at his current salary. He was probably offered contracts to play in England but not at the wage Milan is paying him. If Rivaldo really just wanted playing time he would be playing in England right now. But he also wants that huge wage Milan is paying now. You can't have both Rivo, sorry.

I know there are those here who don't like Rivaldo's existence for the club, but lets not confuse fact from rumor.

    1) He wants to start for a club team.
    2) If he is indeed placed on the bench, then he wants to be a regular substitute.
    3) He does not want to lose a place on the Brazilian National Team.

Had he left Milan now, then chances of clubs taking a chance at him would be rare, and certainly less so now than during the January transfer period. Also, depending on which club, Rivaldo would still not be guaranteed a spot on the BNT (at least with Milan, there is the opportunity for UCL, Calcio and Italian Cup games as well as Toyato cup).

It is obvious that the players enjoyed his company, the staff (especially Galliani) and even to a certain extent, the fans (there were many with signs appreciating Rivaldo at the San Siro vs Lecce) did not want to part company.

So even as Carlos Perriera has said, Rivaldo staying at Milan works out best for the player, the club and for country. I for one am happy he can give it another go at this great club. And hec, if Milan's official website is cool with his return, so am I.
