BTW, anyone have any knowledge of the Hortus Hotel in Amsterdam? It's been recommended as a good place for Ajax fans to stay, but I've never been there... Anyone?

To be fair, Fodor's and Let's Go (each slightly more reliable than "fuzzynavel88" and "2high4grimsby") rate the Hortus as an excellent bet: clean, safe and affordable.
Update: Good-sized group! Quick update: Granted that this is still 2 months away, but I'm figuring most people who are serious about attending this trip have already contacted me. Therefore, I'm predicting we'll have around 10-15 attending the Ajax v Den Haag game, and around 20-25 going to the Ajax v PSV game! I have a feeling this is gonna be a great trip. The Ajax-PSV game is shaping up to be the most important Eredivisie game of the year, so far. :-D
Okay, folks, the first attendee has already left the States, and I'll be flying from SF to AMS in the morning. The time has come! Should be a good trip. We have 34 official attendees and half a dozen hangers-on and roustabouts meeting us in the city for extra-curricular activities. I'll post pictures and notes on Ajax USA, so check it out. Can't promise to post something every day, though. Not gonna spend all my time at the computer!
