You should keep paying attention to imaginary transfer lists, before saying something you don't know a single thing about. " "
I'm sure i know a lot more about Italy and fascism in general than you do. Where do you come from if I may ask ? I live 20 km from the border with Italy, and I know a lot about their way of thinking. But anyway it's OT, so if you wish to defend Canna, be my quest, I'm out of this debate .
I lived in Italy for a while, and worked in an Italian company for 2 years. How about you share the source of your claim that Cannavaro is a "well known fascist"? Cause anybody could say that Higuain is a well known pocket thief, and Robinho is well known for stealing car stereos out of players cars. Don't need to support the claim, it's just well known. It's not about supporting the player, it's about defending common sense and being against stupid and immature thinking.
I admit, well known is too strong word. But Canna, Buffon, Di Canio are known for their far-right believes. Search some italian boards, it's a known secret. I also thing there was once an article in LaRepubblica or some other newspaper, dealing with this. So I'm 100 % sure he knew what he was waving with
Sounds like we are heading down the "Raul is a cocaine addict" route.. no proof, just well known. How about we end this? Great. Good. Let's move on. What was the score in Real Madrid - Mallorca match anyway?
We got beat 5-1. Eto'o forgot which team he played for but destroyed our defence. The FA, however, deducted 3 points from Barca and Mallorca for Eto'o illegitmatley playing for Mallorca.
I am the son of Libyan parents who first hand suffered through the aftermath of the Italian occupation. So I might have more experience than most of the Fascists from Italy. If Canna held up the flag knowing full well the meaning of the symbol on it, I don't really care. The past is the past and those who obsess too much about it are wasting their time. Go Madrid!!!!! And Canna, why don't you practice more defense instead of shaping your eyebrows!
Napolitani arent fascists farkheads, i should know i grew up with them. "Canna practice defense"<---- ey champ, go win a world cup, 2 serie a titles, a la liga then get praised by maradona then win world player of the year.
I spend so much time on Italian forums - I can't even tell. Di Canio is a well known fascist, that's true. There have been RUMOURS about Buffon as well. But never did I find anything about Cannavaro and this matter. Never. You're not knowing what you're talkíng about!!! Cannavaro is not a fascist!!!! I really don't know how someone can say that if he doesn't know anything about his political attitude. Just to let you know, Cannavaro is for example good friends with Bassolino, the left president of Campania. And he has never made any fascist remark in his whole life. About the flag: He stated pretty clearly that at first he didn't see the symbol and when he saw it he immediately folded the flag and put his around his neck so that nobody could see it (that was confirmed by the images on TV). He said sorry in TV, that he didn't want to offend anyone, that he's gonna be more careful in the future and that politically he's neither right nor left. So please stop to say stupid things because it's becoming DISGUSTING!
Thank you Walle, see everyone? nothing to worry about. What kind of Napolitano is a facist?!?! Do your homework next time.
Well, i said this and i am repeating this again... from the TV scenes it was pretty clear to me he had not notices the sign on the flag. thanks Walle for supporting this too.
Well, i have dedicated all this week to enjoy our great victory this season. I have watched three times the RM vs Mallorca (GOL TV english, Gol TV spanish and Canal plus), and i have watched the last minutes of the already historic games (RM vs Espanyol, RM vs Depor, RM vs Zaragoza, RM vs Sevilla) and a lot of celebration videos. It has been an amazing end of the season and it will be remembered for a really really really long time. In the future, when someone ask you about Real Madrid traditional fight spirit, you only will have to tell them "do you remember the last 12 games of season 2006/07?????" This season will be a perfect reference to future generations of RM players to explain them what is a RM player. Finally, I want to thank Nuff_said and horsehead for their great job in the "Match threads" during this season. And congratulations to all the loyal RM fans that have suffered during bad times, now it is time to enjoy the good times!!!!
MadridForever, it makes me happy to read this. I feel the same. Although I do care very much about all the politics and the president and the sporting director and the coach and the marketing guy and the formations and the tactics and the luck and the referees and....on and on, I really experience the season through the players. And to watch what they have gone through this season and how they have come together after all the changes and the chaos is the biggest most important thing that brings me the joy. I don't second guess the season when it comes to that and having gone through the hard times made this even more satisfying. Even though my desire for beautiful football was not always met, other thrilling things that I did not anticipate came instead. I actually like and respect the guys on the current team (even those that I did not so much earlier in the season) and I'm truly happy for them and us fans. Do I want to go through another difficult season like that? Without knowing that it will end in glorious victory? Not really, LOL, so I hope we will get everything calmed down and straightened out with the coach settled, and the right transfers brought in to bring the excellent football we all expect along with the winning. I'm old enough to know that all my demands are seldom met, but if I keep my eyes open, I am often surprised by other wonderful things I wasn't expecting. Yes, there is work to be done, but I too am still celebrating this very very interesting and dramatic season. Good times indeed.
Those are just a couple of quotes from that moment which was the best Ray Hudson meltdown of the game. Here it is: Lol @ "Tom Cruise.....if he smelled a soccer jockstrap, he'd faint dead away."
He called tom cruise stupid. Ray Hudson better be careful or he might be abducted by aliens or something 0_0
WorldSport had a very good wrap up of the end of our season with post game interviews and footage that I haven't seen before. As always, it's Sid Lowe narrating. Download high quality quicktime file At dailymotion Confession: I tried to keep it on the downlow, but the truth is, I was in Madrid for the celebration. I can't hide it, I'm busted, you'll see it in the video anyways, so here is a picture of me with the boys....
^... Who is that man riding you?! And in the middle of the street! SHAME!!! EDIT: That's a nice vid. Lots of behind the scenes stuff and interviews
I repped you Horsehead, but I can't download the video yet, since I'm downloading something else right now.
I'm dying to relive this game right now. Anyone have a working link to a torrent or direct download? Thanks in advance.
