Didn't know where to ask, but a friend of mine said that the nike kits are being sold in 2 different forms. THe authentic kits and also the replica jerseys The main difference is that there is no trace of any stitchings and seams that piece the shirt together, and that it is a one piece production for the authentic.... The authentic kits going for about $120 , while the replicas around $70 first question, is this true? and second question, if it is , where can i buy the authentics? any responses and leads would be very welcomed! thanks in advance. I just have a special feeling about our team this year, and would'nt mind splurging some extra cash for a real nice commerative to this world cup campaign.
There are indeed 2 different 'versions', the authentic one is what players wear and they usually have heat applied badges instead of sewed on ones. I don't about the stitching but it's believable. Usually the authentic ones in the past have had an extra layer of material to wick away the sweat. Not sure about the newest jerseys. So if you can find them somewhere, I'd say get 'em. Which makes me ask, where have you seen them for sale?
hi scudly, as u can see from my sig, im in hong kong. Here , we have one specialty store that can get these kind of products. In the past they have been able to get authentic versions for EPL (arsenal , manu) and Series A (inter and Juve). But this year for the world cup, he said that the is having trouble sourcing "authentics". I'm a collector, and I actaully have authentic Jersey with Viera name patch and golden lion crest in commemoration of their undefeated season. That cost me about 190 usd. The shirts are definitely much different than what we have as replicas, i also confirm that they have an extra layer underneath, and as well, there is no stitching/ seams at all... and it seriously looks like a one piece construction... but anyway... hope someone can come up with some leads.. would love to get hold of an authentic US jersey.
I always find that the replicas I buy from a guy in Thailand do the trick though they are always a little snug
