I know a lot of people in Salt Lake didn't like the "Real" name but your logo is the BEST in MLS. It's stylish, it's classy, it might have that "Europoser" feel to it, but it's just flat out awesome.

If Dave Checketts is reading this, please don't EVER change it. Most MLS crests are so amateur looking (although they're a huge step-up from the original ones in 1996).

I saw the designs for your new stadium. I hope they stick with the original plan to have the logos etched into the side of the building and concourses. I've never seen that in any of the new MLS stadiums. It's a nice little touch. :D

You speak the truth, best logo hands down in MLS. It would look even better with a star or two above it. yeah?

I'm sure you're talking about the RSL logo on the uniforms, which I agree is VERY nice.

The one with the "ReAL" above the crown I would be happy if they discontinued...

The only thing I don't really like about it is that the soccer ball on the bottom looks too much like a flower from any distance.

Agreed.......the ball could be better. I used to think they should change it to look like the adidas teamgeist balls the league plays with........but then it would look like a maxipad instead of a flower.

Haha. Yeah, I would rather it looked like a flower. Seriously though, if they got rid of the version that has "ReAL" on the top, and fixed the ball, it would be a great crest.

    Best uniforms as well.
And, even though I know it well make the soccer gods crazy, I do hate the Euro and S Am team crests that leave you totally perplexed as to what team it is. Admit it-- you've all felt that way at least once! I think the RSL intertwined monogram is cool, but the "Real" is just fine with me.
Now, maybe the graphic artists could start running the team for us . . .

The ball is supposed to look like a flower. That is part of the whole "royal" theme to the crest. If you don't like the ball, thats cool...I'm just saying it wasn't a design accident that it looks like a flower...

Thank you. I've thought that since day 1. Awesome crest; tweak the ball a little.

I actually disagree with the uniform assessment. I think the new Galaxy away jersey is the nicest looking in MLS.

I always wished it was a flower, like a sego lily (UT's state flower), but it's just a soccer ball. A sego lily wouldn't work anyway because it only has 3 petals; I thought that would be cool though.

What I really want to know is if the design firm or anyone else is going to come up with some wallpaper, widget or anything that shows off the great logo we have. I know several other teams in the league offer wallpaper and other little things that are fun for your computer. Anyone gonna do this?

Interesting, didn't make the connection. But I'm an accountant, not a historian, so what the hell do I know besides this bean goes on the right side and this bean goes on the left.;)

I actually prefer the one WITHOUT the real, i.e. reverse of your preference... just goes to show, you can't please everyone! ;)

Have you all seen the crest for the proposed team, "St. Louis Soccer United"? See below

    http://www.stlouissoccerunited.com/

I want to see St. Louis get an expansion team just so I can see their kits with the classy crest...:D

I wonder if that site is the official one? It doesn't mention any of the investors. Perhaps it was just started by a group of people who want a team there?

But I must admit, that is a stylin' crest.:p

Yeah, that is rather stylin' in fact I think it would be the only one that competes with either of RSL's crests, I happen to really dig them both. I prefer the one lacking "real" best, but the "real" one is great as well. It's more of a identifying crest (used for identification rather than representation (meaning "this is the clubs crest"))

My vote for worst crest in MLS...Columbus Crew with a close second going to the KC Wizards...

Great question. Seems like a very well organized web site, (stadium plans, etc.), but although they seem to communicate a great vision for the franchise, the plan is probably lacking the most important item, $$$$. When you hear the buzz about which cities are being targeted for expansion teams, you don't hear St. Louis mentioned much. Unfortunately, St. Louis' best shot at getting a team may have come last summer when RSL had the stadium drama. Big daddy Checkets was probably their best shot at bringing a franchise there which is dissapointing...

What does the trefoil have to do with St. Louis? Lewis and Clark? French fleur-de-lis reference? What??

I'm guessing it's a reference to St. Louis being one of the principal colonies in French North America, along with Quebec and Louisiana.

id like to see your logo (the one without the REAL) become a circle instead of a shield shape. it would look even better.
