After the NY game, Birgit Prinz and Danielle Fotopoulos are now tied for second in the league in points.

Prinz is third in the league in goals scored and Fotop is tied for fourth in the league.

The amazing thing about Prinz's statistics is that she missed the first six games.

We continue to be the top team for offense, averaging 2 goals per game.

If Fotop or Prinz scores at least two goals and records an assist today they will win the WUSA league scoring title. This would be an especially amazing accomplishment for Birgit considering the fact that she was not with the Courage during pre-season and then missed the first 1 1/2 months of the regular season.

    More On Prinz

Prinz could also finish tied for first in goals scored with Katia if Birgit records her first WUSA hattrick today. Birgit looked extremely impressive in practice yesterday and I have a feeling that she could very well do something special at Torero today. :)

    Don't Forget About Hege

Going into today's final regular season match, Hege Riise with 13 assists iis tied for second in the WUSA with Kristine Lilly. Riise trails the assist leader Maren Meinert by two so finishing in a tie for first or perhaps even winning the assist title is still within Hege's grasp if the Courage have a big day offensively against the Spirit today.

Scoring goals will probably not be a problem for the Courage today. Not only have the Courage never lost to the Spirit, but Carolina also has never scored less than two goals against San Diego in their previous 5 matches.
