    The trip to Chicago.

Should we make more banners? If we get some material, we could make a "Northenders On-Tour" banner or something. Otherwise, I'm just thinking that we should bring the V-Army and Legion banners made by the CFO and hang them next to each other.

Second, what's the situation regarding flagpoles, drums, etc? I'm sure we want a colourful section in Chicago. We can make this look real good!
    _________________________________________________________________

If anyone read the Dispatch, there was a reference to the anti-Andrulis chanting. Good job guys! You're making yourselves heard. It has to suck for the CFO to read that day after day. If we lose or draw tonight, I will join you guys after the game to chant for Andrulis' resignation/firing/departure or whatever you want to call it. I really can't not become a part of this, it's gettin beyond ridiculous.

If we do make banners, can we call it ANYTHING other than Northenders on Tour? I was pretty sure that's what Section 8 does for their stuff and being like them in some ways would be nice, but copying everything word for word is not. Since we don't have our big drum(I wonder if we could get our big drum?) I don't think drums would be a problem but flagpoles probably would be.

If we can contact the Chicago Front Office, maybe we can get one or two approved or something (flagpoles w/ flags).

This may sound like a stupid question (it probably is), but are we going to continue chanting/drumming etc during the Real/Chivas game? If so...for which side? I do want to stay away from Ultras Sur if they do come though. I don't want to be part of that whatsoever. I can't do the racism sh****** or anti-immigration crap they do.

_________ ON TOUR is about as S8 property as using banners, flags or drums on stadium is, it's very common. Well more common in England I guess, other groups just take their banners or small version of it.

I know, but still, we could probably call it something else. Was it Barra Brava on Tour to CCS(to watch the Crew beat themselves) for you guys? :p

Look at my Aztec Warrior! Look at my Aztec Warrior!

Why don't you call it something like "Crew's Traveling Band of Gypsies" (too 60s/70s? and yes I'm joking) or how about "Black & Gold Roadies" (not joking)? or the "Road Crew" just tossing out some ideas. (names are copyrighted by me, bitches). :D

some real quick ideas off the top of my head.

"We paid $__ to come see this piece of ******** team"

    or

"we follow the crew; please kill us"

    or

"we've come to chicago to see our coach die"

    or

"why did we just drive 6 hours for this ********ing team?"

Stop taking things out of context folks. We all knew what OGHT meant(not actual death), as we all know what Fiddy means(the bloody terrorists).

For this trip I'm just going to bring two of the banners I brought to Chicago a month ago. Though, honestly, remember it's windy and that banners better have paper weights, or they won't work. Just a tip.

But not the "Crew fans travel to see better soccer". That has gone into retirement, seeing as I don't think I'll ever use it again.

Sorry, I assumed everyone understood I meant the assmonkeys that planned those terrorist attacks -- those are the kind of people that deserve death, not some head coach of a soccer team, no matter how bad he is.

I still think this one could apply on the 16th. It could mean you're really only there to see Chivas and Madrid. I think there should be some nice anti-Greg banners and perhaps something else, something new... perhaps:

"Now accepting applications for Crew head coach, Real Madrid players encouraged to apply"

"Andrulis, watch the next game and learn something useful"

"Becks, please buy our team and save us! You'd love Columbus!"

"Greg Haters Never Die, We Just Multiply" (somebody please please do this one... would be hilarious)

"We Came Here To Win, Since We Can't Do It At Home"

I understood what you meant, just thought you should clarify it. Not the best use of words i have seen you use.

While I don't wish death this reminds me of the Barca supporters a few years ago...

They threw a rock into the new president's home (Laporte?) and the message said...

"Our home is Nou Camp, your's is a tomb."

This is one trip I'm truly glad I didn't skip out on. What a ****ing blast the entire time. I can't even choose my favorite part.

Here's a real brief and quick list:
-Meeting a few of the out-of-state, hardcore Crew fans is always a pleasure. KK, Rola, Bailey, and whoever I may have met, yet don't remember meeting. :D KK, great banner. And Bailey, you're ok by me, man.

-Tailgating with Canadians. What kind of crazy coincidence is it that a bus that pulls up a few buses down from where we're tailgating is filled with Canadians from Windsor and Toronto? F***ing unreal.

-Crew fans who chanted the entire match. Mike, Erin, Clem, Andrew(not Aaron), Lauren, Aaron, David, TD(the mother ****ing cat), and everyone else.. Just bravo. "Stand UP, for Columbus Crew!"

-The numerous run-ins I had with fans who would shout "Columbus suck"/"Fvck Columbus" and I'd have to have a few words with them. I realize that most people hear someone saying something stupid and just figure: "hey, that guy's an idiot". Well, I'm one of those people who tells them to their face that they're an idiot.

Fire "Fan" in a ****ing blue jersey: **** Columbus!
Me: Excuse me what did you say?
Douche: You can't stand next to me.
Me: Why's that? Who do you support? (eyeing his obvious lack of Fire jersey)
    D: Fire.
Me: Yeah, well **** you too!

I stood in Section 8 for the entire half of the Real/Chivas match, yet this dude in a blue jersey tells me I can't stand next to him. Ah, Section 8... I was told a month ago if I stepped foot in there that I'd be spit on. Those Fire fans sure talk tough, don't they?

I honestly think I was looking for a fight last night. I never got one; I didn't look that hard, though. Just wanted to see what type of reaction I'd get out of S8, with the Crew flag wrapped around me. What a sight. "You can stand here if you put your flag down". "Oh, ok..."

But perhaps one of the funniest parts of the entire trip was when AJ and some English guy were talking and the English dude was like: "The one thing I really like about the states is how you don't have to worry about getting into a fight in the stadium". And literally, 30 seconds later I bounce up to them, not hearing any of this, and say: "You guys, I just almost got into a fight with some Fire fans". Classic.

Any good bus stories? What time did you guys finally arrive at CCS?

We didn't get back 'til 5 fvckin' am. The bus ride there and back took way too long, and if I had the chance to do it over again I would probably find someone to drive a car up there. Saves A LOT of time, and you get to ride with all people you know. Yet, the bus option was still a big help in regards to saving miles on our cars. We're driving out to New Jersey and Hartford in August for Crew/Metros and USA/Trinidad, so we couldn't really afford to pile up the additional miles on this trip, especially with another OSU football season coming up.

The people on the bus were okay; definitely some major wankers on it though. Some didn't even go in for the Crew match!!! I don't have to tell everyone how much that pissed me off.

Anyway, it feels very good to get the draw on the road, and being recognized before, during, and after the match by (Super) Mark McCullers, Warzycha, and the entire team was truly rewarding. Can't wait for these two matches this week!

TD and I almost got into it when we stopped by S8 between the two matches. Most of the folks weren't bad, but there were a couple of real assclowns who thought they'd be all "hardcore" by screaming from 2 inches away. Hey, I'm might be drunk off my ass, but my ears still work pretty good b!tch, no need to give yourself and aenuerism (sp?). Had a good chat with a couple of the other S8 cats. I think they're looking forward to the growth of a stronger rivalry between our fans and theirs (aka, us coming up for roadies and not just them sending folks to Columbus).

Also, agreed that it was awesome that we got the recognition from the players and the rest of the team for our support. I hope we can keep the momentum going. I'm going to try pretty hard to get out of work early this week and make the Wednesday game. No promises, but would love to do it.
