Will be 7 with the Spain and Canada games. Plus if I can; make it 8 with the Gold Cup final. On the current side of things all of them have been local so Canada will be my first "away" cap with hopefully the Mexico being my first "international" one. Here are my 5 so far USA-Argentina 2008 USA-Czech Republic 2010 USA-Turkey 2010 USA-Brazil 2010 USA-Argentina 2011
I am a newbie with two so far, it will be four as I am going to the Spain game in Boston and Canada game in Detroit. Most likely will be five as I am also going to the GC Quarter-Final in Washington. I had a 16 year gap between my first USA game and the second. I went to the USA Switzerland group stage match in Detroit during the 1994 World Cup and then the Brazil friendly last August.
(Sorry, didn't check in for a few days.) Being married was not much of an issue. I took my then-fiance to Seattle for the US-Venezuela game in 2003, under the guise of, hey, let's go up to Seattle so you can meet my brother who lives up there, and as long as we're there, let's see a soccer game. That works sometimes -- it probably would have worked for WCQs in the Caribbean if there had been any handy, but maybe not so much for a WCQ in Columbus in February. Having kids has killed it though. We got tickets to WC2006 in Germany but my son was three months old so we decided not to go.
I am a Canadian who went to high school in the US, living in Toronto. Really looking forward to Boston next month.[LINEUP-3-5-2][/LINEUP-3-5-2]
2000- USA vs. Costa Rica @ Columbus Crew Stadium (WCQ)- 10 2008- USA vs. Mexico @ Columbus Crew Stadium (WCQ)- 18 2009- USA vs. Honduras @ Soldier Field (WCQ)- 19 2010- USA vs. Turkey @ Lincoln Financial (Pre-WC)- 20 2011- USWNT vs. Japan @ Columbus Crew Stadium (Pre-WC)- 21 2011- USA vs. Canada @ Ford Field (GC)- 21 I'll have 6 caps (5 with the USMNT) after the Canada game and I just turned 21.
I believe I'm at 12 with the Spain game being 13. I had forgotten about one or two but thanks to my ticket stubs and this website http://homepages.sover.net/~spectrum/usamen2.html I'm pretty sure this is my list. The cool but also disspointing thing is I have all my ticket stubs except the 2009 Mexico Gold Cup final (my 29th birthday, ugghhh). If anyone has an extra ticket stub from this game and will be at the USA-Spain game I would gladly trade a beer/beers for it! I'm glad I found this thread and that website, brings back alot of memories! Kids as I suspected. Sigh, makes me wonder if I even want them knowing how many things I might miss out on.
I can see both sides of it really. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone with kids or anything, I'm sure you love every minute of it and for good reason. But the more I think about it, it seems like having kids is just not for me. I would love to be a coach and work with kids on soccer or baseball development, but that's about it at this point in my life (as a 22 year old).
I've got about 25. Although I went to all 2006 World Cup games and to the last couple of Mexico ones in C-bus my favorite cap was the crappy game in Hartford a few years back. Why? It was on my 20th Wedding Anniversary and I'm still married!!! JoeSoccerFan, where are you? Bet you have a bunch of caps.
ha! funny how this has gone from a caps discussion into a kids discussion. unless i'm forgetting something, i'm at 7: 2000 vs. Costa Rica in Cbus (0-0 2001 vs. Mexico in Cbus (2-0) 2003 vs. Paraguay in Cbus (2-0) 2004 vs. Grenada in Cbus (3-0) 2004 vs. Jamaica in Cbus (1-1) 2010 vs. Honduras in Home Depot Center (1-3) 2011 vs. Chile in Home Depot Center (1-1) My record is 3-1-3 and I have personally outscored opponents 10-5 and just bought my ticket for the gold cup final! hopefully i will witness the us crush mexico! glad that LA is getting a non-garbage friendly at last I know it doesn't count, but i also was at the MLS all-star game in 2002 (MLS US WC vets coach by bruce arena vs. mls international players and US rejects)

Jeremy, that Guatemala match was in Colorado, not DC...did you mean the Cuba match that was in October 2008? Very impressive list. I'm hoping that I can add a trip to the Azteca in this next WC cycle!
Yeah, good catch. That should have been Cuba. I copy/pasted from the 1990 -present results page and it looks like they have the Cuba and Guatemala games reversed.
I have three Full National Team caps Honduras in Albuquerque 2005 Guatemala in Dallas in 2008 if I remember correctly. El Salvador in Sandy 2009 USWNT vs Mexico in Olympic Qualifiers in Juarez Mexico(That was both alot of fun, and very scary at the same time) and if all goes well I should add two U-17 caps next month in Torreon

Ok. This thread just made me too curious. I did an official count to see where I stand . I'm at 43 games in seven countries on 3 continents. This doesn't include my Olympic qualifiers, U-23 World Cup or USWNT games. This year will be the 10th anniversary of my first cap.
