Not related to the Wizard's, but I thought this was kind of cool: "...The lightning-quick forward, who signed with Comets on September 8, has seen more over the course of his young career than most players see in a lifetime – and it’s only just beginning. Beasley finds himself at the center of a re-tooled Comets roster as the team prepares to open the 2003-04 MISL season. And though he has never played indoors at the pro level, Beasley says he has plenty of experience between the boards..." http://www.kccomets.com/people/?cat=10&id=220
That's certainly a nice injection of speed. Now if they can find some at the back and a GK that can make a stop, maybe they can compete with Monterry and Milwaukee. Also of not is that Andinovski and Dino brought back another local of Skopje. Now they have 3 Macedonians, 2 old guys from St. Louis, and a Congol national on the Roster. Love DaSilva finally getting bounced. Too many penalties and not enough goals. Even better October 11th against St. Louis. It will be good to see Steamer *ss get kicked again!
For what its worth... I've actually played against a couple of guys that are on the new team over here. All I'll say is that if thats all the skill thats needed for the MISL all I need is to be in better running shape and I could play. They weren't much more skilled than any of the other guys playing in our pick up game, just faster and quicker feet. Obviously I dont know if these guys were bench warmers or will get lots of PT. All I know is that one of the other guys I've gotten to know just said "Hey, those three play for the Steamers now..." I for one wasn't all that impressed. That said, indoor still sucks to watch.
