. . . big fish like PETA and Greenpeace. Yes, the FBI counter-terrorism unit actually uses resources going after "terrorists" like PETA. My only comment is that my wife and I are now apparently terrorists, so you all had better watch your back.
Peta isn't terrorists, but groups like Earth First have a history of burning things down. Paticulary at ski resorts.
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f ELF is another environmental group that gets its kicks from setting fire to SUVs. I don't think that monitoring some of these groups is a bad thing, but I wouldn't put PETA near the top of a priority list by any means.
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f To paraphrase Nixon, we are all semi-communistic now.
One F.B.I. document indicates that agents in Indianapolis planned to conduct surveillance as part of a "Vegan Community Project." Tofu = treason?
A lot of farmers back in my home county have switched some of their fields from corn to soybeans--the raw material for tofu. We need to keep an eye on these people.
When they find out about this, those vegans and PETA members will really go apeshit http://www.theonion.com/content/node/31017
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f No need to toss the constitution and bill of rights onto the fire in order to do so, however.
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f Time to watch my mouth at my next vegan pitch in, I guess. Right here in Indy. Fantastico. Does that article mention anything else about the Indy group?
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f First they came for the vegans And I didn't speak out Because eggs are tasty...
Re: It's okay that Bush has allowed domestic spying, since the FBI is after the big f I agree, but there are groups out there that are deserving of being surveyed, and some of them are not all that threatening. But again, they're really not that high priority.
I'm a member of Greenpeace so I expect to be on the no fly list sooner or later. Actually, I kind of was. Someone with a very similar name to mine is on the list and I had to get notarized copies of birth certificte/passport to 'prove' to the TSA clowns that I shouldn't keep getting flagged every time I checked in.
Hey, like the man in the photo said (um, the one with his shirt on): "To live outside the law you must be honest." Come to think of it, maybe Bush should use that as his defense. It's better than anything else he's come up with.
