ramos is the team leader with 36 assists...just shows how much he actually played...he's the only player still here from 96..and 36 assists over 7 years aint all that much for what was expected of him.....

OK, when and how did Clint hurt his groin? Any guesses are welcome (except possibly Momsmack)...

    HAHA!!

After the Galaxy game, he had big ice packs on both knees. I kinda figured that this is something that maybe they do after every game due to his history. Does anyone know about this?

I'm not sure how he hurt his groin. But I'm almost positive the big limo outside the hotel was for him. I swear I heard the driver say he was picking up Clint Mathis. So.... Hmmm.... Maybe something happened after the game?! :D

If I remember corretly it believe it happened late in the first half. He was grimacing after he made a play for the ball in the mid-field. By the way he was walking it looked like he might have tweaked his knee.

  6. Tab has been a total bust.

I noticed this too. I thought it was his knee also. And I seem to recall him grimacing a few times throughout the second half. I just thought it was his knee.

Well, he did injure his back at one time. He went up for a header I think, and he landed in a weird way.

And for this, people want to hold a testimonial match for him? Sheeeesh!

just to keep things in perspective, i believe valderrama has 112 assists over the 7 years....

ramos is our leading assist man with 36....that's a tell tale sign of our organization....

on his last season, you'd think he would make a better effort to play, even through slight injury. it just seems that tab needs to 110% before he even suits up or sits on the bench....

optimistically, there are 8 or so games left, assuming we make the playoffs....so if he comes back, he'll play a half or two, then reinjure himself....at least he has balboa to keep him company...maybe that's why metro's signed tab's old friend balboa, to keep him company.

The way this is going for him--if he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

I hate to say this, cuz I had tons of fun on Saturday. Mainly cuz it was the one time per year that I get to support the Metros in person.

But the way things were going for the whole team on Saturday, it appears the whole team is lacking in the luck department. :(

But I have some extra luck I could share with Mr. Mathis! ;)

It really is irrelevant as he would probably injure himself right before the match.

In a perverted way, this actually might not be a bad thing, like some have already indicated on other threads. Barring a catostrophic collapse in the last 4 games, the Metros are going to make the playoffs, and home advantage at this point is a non-issue. This will force OZ to play BOTH Mathis and Faria upfront and with the return of Tab, these 4 games will be a good experiment to see if this is the best formation/lineup for the playoffs.

If the Metros actually sweep all 4 games, would Octavio have the guts to use Diallo off the bench in the playoffs?
