With the increased number of TM players playing outside the country I cant help but to wonder if our national team is going to suffer in years to come. I know playing in top foreign leagues and alongside quality players improves the personal development of our players but at the same time in my opinion its having a detrimental effect on the national team as a whole. The players are getting less and less playing time together and it really shows in the lack of cohesion in the team in our recent matches. I personally hold the IFF responsible to some extent for their lack of organization but surely the players increased commitment to their clubs is not helping either. I watched our B squad in the Islamic games recently and I thought they were playing much better as a unit than the A squad. My concern is that we don’t end up like teams such as Nigeria, full of stars but constantly underachieving due to a lack of cohesion between the players.

    Your thoughts please…

Hm, I think that Iran national team will only benefit from the players that play abroad. With no room for envy among the players, playing for team with pride and not for own objectives, with gained experience in Europe, the team will play a higher level of football, eventually becoming a team who will be much more respected in the world then it is now.

This is working for my team, Croatia, so why couldn't work for Iran as well.
Well, thats my opinion. I know that I'm not quite familiar with iran team and players but I do like to watch your team and I respect your team and players.

I think the only thing that will suffer is friendlies and AFC matches. The world cup will be great for us. Many of our players will be in better condition and they will get to play with each other for a few weeks be4 the world cup starts. It will turn out like small countries who lose players to top clubs. Since the IPL is poorly funded and training/pay isnt comparable to europe. The players will want to go play in europe. THen comes the opportunity to make more money playing for ur club, instead of ur nation. A lot of european nations that hav talent are like that THe slavic areas, Ukraine and etc... The only reason that some players r now playing wit their nation, ex: The czech Republic is that so many players went to big clubs and now their main goal play 4 the nation.

IN the long run it will make us better, unless we hav a lot of greed. WC performance will improve, but other things will hav a decent grouth. Until we become a soccer nation like brazil, england, and etc.. who can win local championships and friendlies without their stars. We will just hope that this trend continues, the more exports, then the more people like Bobby robson of england come to train our youth.
