I am forming a supporters club for our local high school soccer program.

Our primary focus will be in improving the quality of the field, fund raising, and hosting a few events each year to show the kids a good time.

We haven't settled on a name for the club, yet.

Can you tell me about your supporters clubs.

What are you called? What do you do?

    Thanks in advance.

I am most familiar with a Boosters, Supporters and Pep clubs. What type of mascot do you have? Perhaps there is a complimentary term related to the mascot's identity.

my hs Arcadia HS in Arcadia CA had a great booster club called the direct kick club. the city is pretty wealthy so our fundraisers didnt do more than sell candy here and there stuff like that. parents were the main source of money along with hats shirts license plate frames etc. i know for a fact we pulled in 25k in my junior/senior year so that we were able to split the cost with the girls team of resoding the field and we picked up some rebound goals and these ball launchers and some adidas kaiser unis and warmups for all 3 teams. the launchers fyi were pretty useless couldnt aim or anything just nailed balls at a parallel to the ground at players chests. i would say the first thing would be to organize a meet the team night which sells a lot of shirts and hats get some team mom like people to make cookies and some punch then just have the coaches talk about their goals and introduce each player. at the end have a banquet rent a town owned facility or use the auditorium of the school and show a video of highlights have the capitans come up and talk about the team say bye to the seniors and u can make some extra money for the team/teams like that. also get a list of all the parents on all the squads freshmen jv varsity and call them asking if they would like to come to a meeting at ur house or someone with enough space so u can explain to them what u want to do to help their kids and what they can do to help. also see if the opposite sex teams depending on which team ur kid plays for would have parents interested (the more the merrier). that is just my personal experience and observations from my hs soccer experience and it was really sucessful with getting money and other things we needed.
