MLS Drops Plans for Benefit Soccer All-Star Game on Sept. 11

"Garber said the condition of the field at Giants Stadium -- which will have been hosting National Football League games for a month by then -- also weighed on the decision. While the MLS's New York-New Jersey MetroStars play there on Sept. 12, the standards would be higher for this match than for MLS. "

    Also interesting...

"Noonan said a legal fight between MLS and the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, which operates the stadium, over who is allowed to stage exhibition soccer matches, didn't have a bearing on the decision. "

Maybe, I am mistaken so correct me if I am wrong please. Giant Stadium field got F ed up because they stopped watering the field to save water because of draught right?

If I am right, and most of the time I am right they are idiots. You have a professional team you water the fing grass that's it. Not just parts of the field the whole fing field those morons strunzes.

Better the players get hurt then "wasteing" precious water right? Hell lets fly the fing water from a Sahara dessert water well then.

Let's see if they save water when the Giants football regular season starts. I don't watch pointy anymore so let me know ok. I also don't watch baseball so tell me how Shea stadium looks, and how does yankee stadium look? I bet those fields are perfect. Why aren't those bastards trying to save water by not watering their fing fields.
