He will probably get loaned out again, hopefully to a team that will not be fighting relegation, someone like Charlton but he will likely be loaned to West Ham again.

Hahaha Charlton are gonna go down if they keep up this transfer policy. Sell your best players to your local rivals for £2m and buy another rivals' worst players for £3m. Duh!!

Anyway, Davenport got into a fight, which has got to be good for his reputation

LOL, that type of thing will make him a legend with the supporters, they seem to like someone like that e.g. Thatcher (although not very good he could put a player into the advertising boards), Konchesky had the look of a nutter and so does Sean Davis.

I know what happened from a friend of Davenport's.

Some bloke accused him of eyeing up his girl, Calum has a girlfriend and a daughter so i doubt he was.. this bloke hit CD, CD pushed him away and the bloke hit him 3 more times. They both got chucked out of the nightclub, clever policing - throw them both out together..... the guy jumped on CDs back, Calum pushed him off, the guy went to swing a punch and CD headbutt him.

Only the headbutt was seen by the police, but one guy was arrested for putting his head in the police cars window to shout what was going on, one was given an £80 fine and CD and this other bloke were bailed to appear in court on the 13th August.

So it seems like self-defence, but he is guilty of fighting. Likely it'll be a fine or a slap on the wrist and a town centre ban in Bedford.

I'm officially about 2 beers of Tecate (the official beer of american independence day) from being drunk -- too bad for CD -- its gotta be tough being a professional footballer and going to a club -- there is always bound to be a bastard or two harassing you or trying to fight you to prove their worth in their otherwise worthless lives. Not saying a footballer hasn't started it before or deserved it, but I'd presume 9 out of 10 its some bloke trying to show off.

I had the misfortune of living in Bedford for several years.... there are a lot of complete twats there, especially when drunk on a night out. Would not surprise me at all if this muppet started him on. Good on Callum for defending himself, wish he'd given the other bloke a proper kicking actually.

I am only in Scotland 3 months of the year!

The mate of CD is on another board actually, i PMd him and he replied with the story.

Although, as a journalist, i am not required to reveal my sources ;)
