Club Quake does use drums. They're called beerkegs. Are you asking in, like, the serious musical sense? To quote an unemployed reporter: "How the hell should I know, Connie?" I got mine (a kickdrum from a drum set, I think) from a co-worker, it'd been sitting in his dad's attic. In terms of brand, or such, to be honest I never looked. Never really needed to. Guy
Doods, the drums sounded great in the game on Saturday night. So did all the supporters cheering, which was much louder than I remember from most Quakes' games. Maybe they just turned up the microphones on tv; or maybe more people showed up drunk and screamed their lungs out.
Glad to hear it translated well to TV, Flashman. The crowd was louder and more alive on Saturday. I'll bet it looked more crowded, too. It appeared that nearly the entire East side of the stadium was full--the side most seen on the tube. Great job by the Casbah and hats off all around! Several waves passed through and there was a lot of screaming and cheering and singing all night....of course, 4 goals for the home side before the half will do that for ya.
The reason the East side was full was that it was P.A.L. soccer night. P.A.L. bought tickets for the kids that participate in their league and their families. Hopefully these same families have now seen what they have been missing right in their own backyards.
I don't know if they were PAL, but I was talking with a family from Benicia in Auto Alley and from what they were saying we've got four more regulars. One step at a time, one step at a time.
