"I got fined $500 for talking to a fan," said Mathis, who considered the notion that he could have been suspended absurd. "I thought it did get overblown, but they make the rules here so you have to play by them."

"I think it was overplayed quite frankly," said Metros coach Bob Bradley of the incident. "I kept reading about how he went into the stands, which is not true. I feel bad for him with the way this was reported."

"There's a huge difference between going into the stands, and going up the steps and having a verbal exchange with someone who threw beer on you."

    "Talking to a fan"?...."Having a verbal exchange"?

Based on their account, you would think the fans and Clint were exchanging recipes.

there are 3 sides to every coin (argument). Heads (the fan's side), Tails (Clint's side) and the Edge (the truth).

$500 is chump change. It should have been $5000.

Look, I've had about enough crap being shoveled on those two guys. I'd love to sit down and honestly hear from them what they thought about their experience here (or should I say lack of any experience here). I'm sure they're upset and confused.

Boca sent them here to play. That's the purpose of "loans," in case you've all forgotten. Instead, they were clearly treated like they weren't wanted from the start. And that includes by you, the fans. I'm sure Bradley would have cut them from the team if he thought he could get away with it. It was a shameful and hurtful thing to do to those men.

I'm sure they'll return home with ringing endorsements of how much fun it is to "play" in MLS and how tremendous King Bradley's system proved to be in the Open final and MLS playoffs.

My friend, I perfectly understand the purpose loans. You borrow a player who you think can help you WIN. I am sorry to inform you, that the Metrostars are not a developmental team for Boca. Alrite? Both Forchetti and Galvan clearly showed that they could not start on any MLS team. They are at BEST role players. And that's in MLS also. That's reality. They just aren't very good.

If they were good, and they weren't playing, then it woudl be a crime. However, both players have shown that they are garbage. The fact that they have been sort of close to the starting lineup of Boca brings to me a lot of questions of how truly GREAT that league is.

Now, I understand your affinity for the players, but just look at the facts. Against NE two weeks ago Forchetti was horrendous in the center. Can you say he could start over Pope or Jolley? Can you make that argument? You can't. Why? Because although he is a relatively good technical player, I am faster then him. Same with Galvan. He takes four or five touches, finally he turns around and looks upfield. As bad as our midfield is, he couldn't crack it. River, is that not pathetic? Are you honestly arguing that Bradley didn't play them, because he hates them? So why are you protecting them? I understand your affinity for them since they are from your nation of birth, however they are bad players, that's all.

No, they will go back to Argentina in shame, because they were garbage.
