Re: Chivabono I was there yesterday and I think the attendance was good given the poor weather. People were coming and going. To my surprise there were several Chiva Girls in attendance. I wasn't aware any had been chosen yet. They had a table setup for any females interested in becoming Chiva Girls themselves. There was one Chiva Girl there who was Simplemente Bella! As far as purchasing season tickets, it was a well organized affair. Upon arriving I was asked to sign in and then I met with a ticket sales rep inside one of the suites on the Zona Norte (restaurant side) of the Estadio. After hearing the sales pitch and asking a few questions myself I was escorted to the seats I was interested in purchasing. After filling out the necessary paperwork to finalize the transaction, I decided to hang around and soak up the atmosphere a bit. There was a DJ on premise who was playing traditional Mexican music. In addition Legion 1908 provided some lively entertainment by means of some very cool chants. They were dancing along to the chants which was fun to watch and mostly likely also a means to keep warm because it was damn cold. There was also a table set up with complimentary coffee with canela and granola bars. Luckily my friend decided to bring his camera so we snapped some pictures with the Chiva Girls and then later the mascot. I didn't see any of the players in attendance. Speaking with some other fans I apparently just missed several of the players. I was aware that only the expansion draft players would be making appearances periodically throughout the event. I found out that the first match should take place on Saturday, April 2nd, 2005 against an unidentified Mexican side. I also learned that there will be another open house on a somewhat larger scale sometime in January. I hoped this post helped paint a picture for those curious to know.
Re: Chivabono Actually, I beileve your first match is against DC United..at least, thats the MLS 2005 season opener..
who is planing to buy one 'chivabono' - season ticket plan-? do you know one person that already has one?
great...and welcome back! we just need few more fans to report here? who else? BTW, how much is that? 28 or 32 games, plus an international friendly on the chivabono?
Season tickets are 16 games + 3 extra matches. I believe CD Chivas USA very first match at the HDC will be against a team from Mexico. At least this is what I was led to believe when I purchased the tickets.
