I have been reading a lot of stuff about carlos ruiz. Some of you guys seem to be worried about the way he has been playing this season. After seen him playing with LA and The Guatemalan national team, it make me wonder what is holding him back in LA. I don't know if any of you guys have seen him play for Guatemala in the world cup elimination. He has been playing like a top world class fordward, he has score some great goals and he has also make some increadible assists. i don't know if its the love for his country that make him look like a monster in that blue and white jearsey. A couple of weeks ago i read an article on fifa.com were they were refering to Ruiz as a top world class goal scorer. There is only one thing that i can asure you. If Ruiz continues to play the way he is playing in the world cup qualifying games he would not be back in MLS next season.
Que bueno, de que le sirve un World Class Player a su equipo cuando solo juega asi con su Seleccion Nacional.
Nicely said, but I think you guys have been giving him too much credit when he plays with his nat'l team, some of his goals have been questionable, especially the last goal he scored against . . .? Can't recall the nat'l team, but he was clearly offside.
I actually have not seen him play with Guatemala in a while, my point was (regardless of how he plays with Guate.) that no team would want 1/2 the effort he gives.
Exactly, however the rest was to others who would debate. All in all, I wonder if his attitude is what got him shipped back to Guatemala from his first pro club in Greece.
i think he doesnt want to be t LA anymore! ! he doesnt get paid enough ! he may lead LA to the championship he has to realise that! if he is playing without felling to damage the LA oficials! he should show them a lection about soccer and win the cup and get the hell away from LA oficials! that are exploting his potencial ! but i dont think he stays in the MLS
I predict Carlos is in Germany next year. Why? Because they have the best beer! I know an alciholo when I see one and Ruiz has got that slightly off-glint in his eyes. And...anyone notice the added weight? You can't keep downing that six-pack every night once you hit 25. That sh-t catches up with you eventually. I think Hartman may also need a little help. That said, I'll take a drunk-off-his-a$$ Ruiz than any of the Wiz's boring players! Go LA!
Yeah..someone tell the Bacon Dog vendors not to serve Gato any more....he's looking more an more like a pudgy AYSO goalie every week....
And you have to keep in mind the opposition he is facing as well. Beating up on Concacaf opponents doesnt neccesarily make one world class. Ruiz is an excellent player, whether or not he is able to make the jump to stand among some of the elite players in the world remains to be seen. His age is going to slowly start becoming a factor in the next few years so for Carlos we are starting to get into the now or never period.
