Apparently, this Swedish damfotboll.com article http://damfotboll.com/aktuellt/default.asp?id=838&page=1 links Shannon Boxx and Abby Wambach to the Swedish club Djurgården/Älvsjö. Can anybody translate? Sounds like Boxx isn't going there (or the team is denying it) but can't figure out what Abby's involvement is. Help!
Sounds like Djurgården/Älvsjö tried to get into contact with Abby Wambach and Shannon Boxx. But according to this website's sources Shannon Boxx is soon getting married so she doesn't want to move to Sweden alone and it isn't sure if Abby Wambach is depending on WUSA or US Soccer to decide if she can go to a foreign club.
Yeah, europe rules!!! The only problem is, there are only very few players abled to play as professionals in europe, and those are absolute top-stars in their country. I heard that Ljungberg is the only swedish pro, while Steffie Jones is the only german. Even Birgit Prinz is not a pro, so I don´t think that Djugarden will be abled to pay them.
