19th minute. Finally Durkin pulls the yellow out against McInnes for the third hard foul against Vieira.
Kanu again was the provider on the pass, and he's certainly been the one to fill the creative void without Bergkamp and Pires available.
Assist to Kanu. Looked like nothing at the start of the play, but Kanu put the pass through the defender's legs, Lauren with a great reach behind him to settle and then roof the shot.
22nd minute Keown knocks a ball down for Lauren, who plays it to Vieira, but Vieira's touch betrays him.
23rd minute Wiltord scores off Henry's feed. 3-0 to the Arsenal. There was a booking before, will bring the news of that as soon as I have it.
Edu was the booked player, he had fouled Jason Roberts. Sounds like the Gunners have provided the early dagger I had hoped for.
25th minute 3-0 to Arsenal, Wiltord with his 3rd of the year from Henry as he chips Hoult inside the box. Wiltord possibly offside? WBA had their hands up, but the replays don't show anything conclusive. Booking was on Edu for clattering into Roberts.
thank god for pbp I don't seem to be able to get the radio feed. good 'ol Arsenal and their awful web page.. Thanks for the updates!
28th. Henry strolls through 3 players to feed inside the box but his pass is knocked out for a corner, which comes to nothing. A wit in the crowd is heard to say, "Don't give up your day job," showing that fans in England are sometimes as uncreative as fans here.
30th minute One comment on West Brom's summer signings was something to the effect of "Lipstick on a pig". They certainly don't look Premiership quality right now, although starting with Man U, Leeds and the Gunners can make many teams look silly.
35th minute The Gunners are playing a bit of long ball-- which may not be creative, but it's been effective. The fourth is a matter of time.
With just over 10 minutes before the half and enjoying a 3-0 lead it looks like the boys have eased up a bit, maybe cruising at about 70 percent right now. Lot of tricks being tried, nobody embarking on any lung-bursting runs.
