Showers have been predicted for Friday. Whether that will help put the fires out, or stir up the ash floating in the air, I'm not sure. My daughter's AYSO region (in Cypress) has been canceling practices all week, and might do the same with matches this weekend, but I doubt that Saturday's match would be effected, outside of a drop in attendance.
I don't give a sh!t if my house in Lake Arrowhead burns down, I'm still coming to the game. ...And yet, I remain upbeat! Topper GO GALAXY!!! GO FIREFIGHTERS!!!
see you all at the HDC....quite a place you got there: for 11.1: Tomorrow: Showers ending in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon. High 62F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. Tomorrow night: Clear to partly cloudy skies. Low around 50F. Winds light and variable.
The mountains were visible from Caltech campus in exquisite detail today. No extreme difficulties breathing in soccer practice today. I think we're good for tomorrow.
Very slight chance of showers during the game (that means it will rain ). It's raining now here in Pasadena and they expect 6" of snow in the mountains tonight.. That'll sure help the firefighters. This is the first Holloween with rain since 1987. The best news: Because of the rain there's lots of leftover Holloween candy for me!!
Good News: Weather looks much better now! I bet there won't be a drop at the match. Bad news: I lost a piece of a tooth on some Halloween candy..
