I remember an Albanian club named 17 Nëntori.
Are they still around? With a new name maybe?

I was just curious to know who the more important players to Albania are currently:
    I am assuming Fatmir Vata (was till last year with Bielefeld);
    Igli Tare (Brescia)
Is the Gk Bekaj (spelling?) still with the NT?
    Very interesting thread ! :)

    Bogdani
    Skela
Lala, I don't know, he is getting old.
    Tare, maybe
    Cana
It will depend on the new coach, whom he is going to call. But it doesn't look good. I suspect we will start this season badly.

As of right now our 2 most important players are Bogdani (Sienna) & Cana (Marseille). Our playmaker Skela (Kaiserslautern last year) is now without a team.

Fatmir Vata fell out of favour with our previous coach, Briegel, and didn't play for nearly 4 years. Now he's injured and wasn't called for our last friendly against San Marino. I don't know whether the new coach, Baric, will call him.

Igli Tare (Lazio reserve) is done but due to heavy favoritism by the Albanian FA he may be expected to start for another couple years. Erion Bogdani is much better and essentially plays the same position as Tare.

Gk Beqaj (plays in Greece) who was our second string gk for many years inexplicably retired when our starting gk Strakosha retired last year. I think it was due to a falling out with the Albanian FA. Our two GKs now are Isli Hidi & Ilion Lika who both militate in the Albanian Superliga.

I hope this was of some help.

Yes the players might be changing but the cancer that is the head of the Albanian FA, Armando Duka, is not.

Eagle bro, I wanted to say 'mire se t'gjeta' but im here earlier therefore 'welcome'

What shall I say, a draw and a defeat in first two matches, now we have a difficult away match in Netherlands.
Cana and Beqiri are missing, but in other way we have a new striker Besart Berisha (Hamburg) who has gained the citizenship and now he's available to play for Albania.

    My formation would be:

    _______________BEQAJ_________________

    ___DALLKU____HASI____DEDE___HAXHI___

    ___LALA_____CURRI____SKELA__MURATI__

    _________BERISHA____BOGDANI_________

I just dont see the solution to stop Huntelar-Kuijt-Van Persie, we have defensive problems for long time now.

Hope we'll have FAT in this one, we also have some bad experiences in past when we defended very good and got punished in the end of the match.

I belive in these new players like Curri for example has impressed me much.

We just need a bit of winner mentality!
Never give up, as they teach here where I live.

So even if we're down we should fight until the end.
That's why we get punished and not the other way around!

Fight 90+min and I'll be satisfied.

And NOT lose by some stupid misstake.
    Thats just ******** my nerves.

Otherwise it's not much we can expect.

    Forca Shqiperia ;)

We'r somehow in a rebuilding proces, it may take time. Important is we'r slowly getting rid of the old generation who's been playin forever
We dont have Myrtaj, Rraklli, Bushi anymore...soon there wont be Alijaj, Murati, Haxhi etc.
We have young promising players who can take us to higher level in future.

League seems very intresting so far. We might see a suprise team this season, Shkumbini ;)

I thought this season it will be battle betwen Tirana and Vllaznia, but the shkodrans just cant build a team for title, despite all those investments they made.

    Shkumbini wont last long.
    Just like Besa last year.

I think Tirana will get their revange this season.
Elbasani and partizani might threat them.
