addendum. mvp for the beat scurry. she's made some incredible crazy saves all year, and is a forgotten hero. many times she saves us from the brink with her saves. war briana
I think Nikki's goal today was one of the best all year ... Although Cagle's was pretty. But I'm biased on both accounts.
Best offensive player of 2002 - Sawa - The offense STOPS when she is controled or off the field or even a little off. Best defensive player of 2002 Tie - It's the Nancy and Julie show all the way Team MVP Sawa BY FAR Best match of the year Unfortunatly, the loss to Washington on the next to the last weekend. Worst match of the year SD vs Atlanta on the Wednesday following the best match of the year. The importance of that match and the level of play makes it the worst. Best goal of the year No vote there were several good goals but none that were far above the pack. Best hair of the year If Sunny had gone blonde she would get my vote. But I really like long flowing hair and that Sawa has in abundance. Most improved player Julie A. based on last year she was a player that could have been cut and this year she is part of one of the best pairs of outside defenders in the league. Most disappointing player of the year - Nonen after her wonderful play most of last year I expected her to jump another level but instead she dropped to a slightly better than average WUSA defender. New catagory - Worst kick of the year - Scurry vs Philly where she kicked at the ball and it went 2 feet forward and then took the backspin and skipped back over the end line. It travled backward faster and further than it did forward.
Bump just to see if any of these coincide with the official Beat awards that were handed out in the past couple of days.
