I agree with your response to my comment about Smith's timeouts. He was a master coach who taught his team how to play. He taught average players how to be good and good players to be great. As a Carolina fan, though, there was about once or twice a season where you just wished he'd call a time out when another team was making a run.
I'd rep your point on pg 4 of Ollie's blog if I could rep blog comments. Your comparison w/ NU-USC made sense to me. And anyone that thought we were getting out of our group once Italy & Brazil's rosters were announced is delusional.
