Dude, according to that wikipedia article someone posted, the only people that call "America" two continents are the Latin countries, Greece & UK. The rest of the world, i.e., the vast majority, considers it to be 2 continents. Now, I understand that your P.O.V. is very Latin-centric. But, that doesn't make most of the world wrong.

As for the rest of your polemics - yes, the U.S. has done some messed up things. So have a lot of countries. I assume that you've adopted an Indian language as your language of choice, or an idioma india, if you identify as Mexican as much as you appear to.

If you don't believe America is a continent and not two seperate continent as the U.S. pretended and claimed, search for a text book from Canada or England, or if you know another language other than English go to google in that language, and search America, you'll see what it says.

dude, believe me, most of the educated people of the world recognize America as a continent. I know the term is more closely associated with the U.S. because of the expansion of influence, and everywhere they went they were known as the Americans, no other American country went to other continents to invade, so they are not as well known. However, when it comes down to official continents.... America is one continent. look at the olympics, their flag/logo have 5 rings, representing the 5 inhabited continents of the world, one of them being America.

I grew up in the public school system in the U.S. they thought us that North and South America were two seperate continents, that America was the land of the free, that the U.S. were Americans citizens, and they even said the Mexican-American war was initiated because Mexico invated the U.S. and " "shed American blood upon the American soil." Of course, I got to college and realized it was all bullshit.
