Well, it's been a rather turbulent year--however I can take note that I was able to attend every game at Buck Shaw (and Oakland) for the 2008 season... the only issue is that I want to enjoy more games as a fan...

I know the Quakes have the Colonel's corner plus those family packs if I remember right... I'm not keen on the partial plans--I like to go full as much as possible...

Plus, I like to enjoy a few games as a fan...

I'm trying to renew as early as possible... right now I'm trying to decide on where to put my seat--I need to go with the most affordable option (side view costs a bit more than the goal line, but the issue with the group rate is that I like to have my own communication with my season ticket rep)... it didn't help that the real estate market tanked so I'm trying to decide on what to do at that end--need to have a very pristine credit record to get a loan right now...

I might go for the WPS, but right now they haven't said anything on venue save for Buck Shaw off the record--I'm trying to plan for 2009--right now I'm on a family sabbatical... so doing my business from the flat right now... thankfully--there are no events, unless the Ultras decide on a Sharks night--and whatshername who also covers the Quakes... ;)

You can figure out well in advance on how the game will be played if you watch a women's game... not too much diving, though it will happen...

Chippy play can happen now and then... I remember Charmaine Hooper just harrassing us after she scored a goal--it could have been Brian Ching after he knotted that tying goal when Houston was in town.

I wouldn't say boring... it could very well be a baseball game on a lazy Sunday... but the difference is that you're out of the stadium after 2 hours... ;) rather than letting the innings drag on...

The women's game is much slower, but if you like tactics and the game played in its purest form without all the so-called theatrics it's good to watch. There were a few Quakes fans that also followed the old CyberRays club.

However, I'm looking for an Ultras-style group to cheer for the women, irk a few soccer moms, and just rally the team to victory. If the economy improves, I might get season tickets though only to select games.

Everyone would rather watch paint dry--which is the case but I figure, let the ladies play. If you need 90 minutes to drink a brew and harrass the other team then why not... :D it's about the game...
