nope, never got pics taken.....nz is very small and we dont really have the celebrity thing. Ryder and ross taylor are both very talented. Finally they seem to have a team that have the guts for test cricket too. Martin's brother was also very good but continued with academics instead. We still need to find bowlers though.

yeah, they are. martin guptill went to my high school a few years below me, his brother was in my year. i am very happy for them that theyre doing well in test cricket. But no time to enjoy anything these days. Have you checked your gmail lately?

thank you. i don't believe everything can be measured in statistics although they don't lie. La Liga is the least competitive when it comes to the title, but below Madrid and Barca it has been quite competitive. It's just a different standard to measure. The Buli in comparison is the most competitive all around.

You know that list of national all-time XIs they had? From that the ESPN panel picked the best. Anyways. Is shopping with your mum the other way of saying karva chauth? ;)

ps. what do you think of the all-time XI announced by the panel? I think it's kind of bs (NOT bigsoccer ;))

one of my manchester united mates showed it to me, they've poached a player from the ajax academy a few months ago so she's been keeping me on tabs with their youth policy lately. :D

      http://www.cricinfo.com/australia/content/current/video_audio/482526.html

I dont know who thinks that of Harsha. He's always had an ear in every camp.

Yeah the stats were not that surprising, because we are all judging australia on their own past record. I dont know how the ICC got their rankings. Although the numbers I told you were excluding bangladesh tests.

They (australia) have also played 60% of tests in that period away from home.

Anyway, it's a good 40 minute piece. Give it a listen.

England have been very good, but mostly at home, and those conditions arent relevant to the ashes.

there's a good talkshow with harsha bhogle, manjrekar and tom moody, and they reveal something very interesting at the end. In the last 3 years, australia has a win-loss ratio that is only slightly second to SA and IND, and if they had won the mohali game, they would have had the best outright......hmmmm

have you seen final day chases? They rarely go above 220 as a rule...and it takes a very special innings to do it normally. I dont think australia will have the option of declaring. They'll be all out first. Up to ponting and hussey now, because north has had his century for a while....I heard he's going to advise the scorer of a 0 or a 2 so as to save him padding up next time.

Its criminal to think T20 cricket is more entertaining.

Well arun lal was just rightly saying that almost any total on the 5th day is enough. Let's say australia are all out today scoring very fast for hte next 60 overs, and they get 200 more runs. Thats a big total for a final day pitch, despite the toothless nature of hauritz. George was not bad, looking at his figures. Hilfenhaus is a gem. Johnson is hot and cold.

So it's still possible to have a result either way.

I guess he will have to wait till the next time he tours, which might be next year given how they schedule one off test series these days...;) His batting really has suffered since he's had to captain a new team in the past 3 years...it's a shame because he's a great batsman to watch from a purist point of view.

The pitch is not that good, unlike the mohali pitch. Neither team, especially australia with inexperience in the conditions, have world class bowlers, so it's gonna be a draw. Hilfenhaus is going to become one soon though. The kid has excelled in all types of conditions in test cricket.
