my brother spent time in Zambia doing field research for his doctorate in social anthropology. he's pretty savvy about African politics. our family is Anglo-Saxon -- Scots, Irish, English and German. i think we are fortunate in that our parents were pretty enlightened in terms of ethnic tolerance.
My wife is Kenyan too. She grew up in Buru Buru. Her father played for the predecessor to Gor Mahia; he played in the 1950s.
