I think Guus would be the top pick. But US Soccer can't afford him. Last I check, his pay was, IIRC 800% what they pay for then-coach Bob Bradley. Although, maybe if the Microsoft billionare that is part-owner of Sounders through in a little bit of his holiday money for US Soccer to approach a real World-Class international FM mercenary, and was willing to gauruntee payment of lavish bonuses for advancing in each stage of the 2014 World Cup, THEN maybe there could have been serious talk with Guus. But failing that, and if Jurgen married and lived in Germany, then we would end up with another MLS coach.
