I appreciate that point and admire you for it. It's an awkward situation and I think you have handled it well on the whole, I can't imagine the difficulty to be honest.

I tried to make it clear and I will reiterate it here, that I personally think you are a far better journalist than Canales and one of, if not the best soccer journalists in the history of America, in my opinion. I wish you would stay on BS and post in topics not directly related to your family. By the same token I think that would be a hard and unfair thing to ask.

If anything I posted in that thread came across mean spirited I apologize.

Hope you reconsider the idea of withdrawing from BS. You've disclosed who you are. Without the disclosure and candor, I can see where some would have a gripe. With it, you'll draw some automatic critics anyways. Damned if you do and damned if you don't, right? None of this minimizes the quality of a good post that brings something unique, adds to a discussion and improves the overall quality of Big Soccer.
