Pumas probably -- they were my team when I used to follow things down there... plus I went to game when I was 16 and it was cool-- and scary. Had a cousin who was on some Cruz Azul reserve team years ago but I guess I would have to say Pumas

No man, it's a pretty cheap ... at least when I was there. It was like $10-15/night to stay at most backpacker hostels. Going out was fairly cheap, plenty of grocery stores to get whatever you might want to cook at the backpacker hostel. They call a BBQ a Braai over there. All the backpackers had them so it was always nice to cook up a bunch of stuff outside.

No, but I did my graduate school research over there in 1999 for 4 months. South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Swaziland ... good times. I can't wait to get back there for the WC2010. I hope they can pull it off ... it will be sick, especially Cape Town!

Yeah, I actually had heard of Orlando Pirates before and followed them a little bit. But Cape Town is a way sicker city so I jumped on the bandwagon when I saw their Ajax logo, ha. Plus, I always think it's kind of funny when teams fully bite on other team's names. Having said that, there is a long tradition of Dutch influence in South Africa, the Boers ya' know.
