Re. your post: In Melbourne, yes it does, It's a public holiday in Victoria, and it's packed, it's a massive event. It's really our Kentucky Derby, but even then, far bigger. If you come up to Sydney, I live about 90min north so if you want to grab a drink or a meal, drop us a line.
