Right, it's all quiet on the western front; check your email tomoz! If there are any further developments on my end, I'll let you know that way. If I see you're sorted, then, err, I won't bother! Later.
Did you get an email entitled "uh oh?" Think I sent it, but it's showing in my deleted items folder instead of my sent items folder. Not sure what happened, or if it went through. If you got it, advise! If not I'll re-send.
Your PM inbox is full so... In case you haven't seen it, I thought I should tell you the draft is finally up and running. In case you want a rough timeline, the drafting process should be over in roughly 18 - 21 days. With a week or two being given to the participants for their write-ups. And in case you want to follow what's going on... Discussion thread Selection Thread Cheers.
We had a huge conversation with many lenghty posts about why Wayne is a support striker etc rather than a CM on the Utd board in one of the 'Wayne Rooney' dedicated threads. Basically, Wayne doesn't have the tools or the brain for it. Maybe he will in the future, but definitely not for now. It'd be a waste of what makes him special also. As for any more pieces, I'm all done on that front for a while. Cheers
Have you heard the (albeit somewhat crazy) suggestions that Rooney might make a better CM than FW? If you've got some developed ideas on that possibility, shoot me a PM. I'd like to ask you to write something for the main Prem forum.
I like the term. It's very appropriate, and it's funny how the speed of the game has accelerated to make this sort of "new" position relevant. Xavi, at the Euros, did very much the same thing. And, it seemed like Aragones forced him (and all of his midfield) to do less playmaking and more up-tempo "circulating" in order to "retain" possession. ...and, funny enough, I also remember how Carrick used to just stand and watch Scholes play during his first-year at United. Sometimes, he'd be standing and watching less than 5 yard away while Paul went about his work.
Classifying Paul Scholes as a "retainer", is that something you came up with on your own Or, did you find it somewhere else? I don't think I've heard that word used like that before.
How do you have a conversation on here? Do you do it on your own page or the other person's? I couldn't work that out on facebook either. Clearly your page gets a bit more action than mine!
No mischief in Vegas. Now I'm back and I'm going to try and knock some stuff out over the next few days.
