      Hi Timo,

I played at Creighton University, one of the best university teams in the USA.

I think the biggest difference between Germany and US soccer is the tactical knowledge of the players. American soccer players are faster and more athletic, but the Germans are much better at possession and passing. I enjoy Hamburg - I wish the weather was warmer, but it is a nice city to live in. I go to HSV games when I can, but the team is so bad this season it is difficult to watch. I also enjoy the FC St. Pauli games, but it is difficult to purchase tickets. Real Madrid is my other favorite team. I had business meetings in Madrid two weeks ago and went to their match against Granada at the Bernabeu....it was a great 5-1 win.

What team do you coach in Bremen? I play for VfL 93 Hamburg, a traditional club in Hamburg. The club had financial problems in 2008-09 and dropped from the Oberliga to the Bezirksliga. We are currently in 2nd place and hoping to get promoted to the Landesliga.

      Hello Nic,

thanks for your reply. At which university did you play? What do you think is the biggest difference between german and us soccer? Do you like Hamburg and are you watching the HSV or do you chant for another german club? I m from Bremen and between those clubs are a big rivalry, but i don´t care. I love Real Madrid :)

Well, you are from Denver. Is there a big concern about soccer?

      Thanks for taking the time,

      Timo
