Wambach never had a chance. She's not aesthetically appealing to the masses. Not that Mia was hot but for the most part it can be agreed upon by many that she's adorable. Plus Wambach's a gay so the USSF/any other sponsors besides Subaru are never going to promote her as hard as Mia just in case that little tidbit publicly unveils itself.
