These guys were selected for the Region 1 pool coming out of Europe. Paul Boehme 1992 Dalton Churchwell 1993 T.J. Cloma 1991 Chris Coulton 1990 Kevin Durr 1991 Kris Lusk 1990 John Nydell 1989 Scott Rogers 1989 Teddy Vallee 1991 Durr is at Bayern Munich. Vallee is presumably somewhere in Slovakia since his dad is the Ambassador to that country (he also has a little brother who I've heard is a good player). Nydell was seen last year at SYCOB in England. Cloma is in Germany I think Boehme I believe has an older brother, Alex, who is himself a good player and has spent some time with SV Sandhausen in Germany. Lusk may be in Scotland. Any further information is welcome.
Not to sound suck - upish but you always have the 411.. my friends think I ma the soccer guru..I tell them a liitle a day on BS and Soccernet and other places helps anyone sound smart....even a rugby player like me. But I need help there was a post about a Kid who has just signed to play in Portugal? There was a picture of Him jogging with a teamate back in Cali? He is like 13-14...do you know who I mean?
" Is this it? Demetrius Omphroy (taken from TDS) For Omphroy, the chance to live and train with the Sporting Lisbon club is the embodiment of what these organizations are hoping to provide on a regular basis. Having taken a 2-week trial with the Portugese club last year, he has been accepted into the academy at age 17, with a chance to earn a professional contract upon turning 18."
It could be I thought he had an Irish sur name..but it was definetly Lisbon..any word on this kid? This sounds to good to be true, Do you remeber the Kid Sean Rush from Baltimore last summer wjo tried to get on the a serie b side..? He is from my area and it sounded great but for logistics it went sour. I think that kid got a hook up from his family friend but the Italian team later found him below par. So we will see with this Kid at Lisbon..is this a favor for someone? You know... Oh and thanks
I think you may be thinking of a kid (not sure of the name) who played for a team out in Santa Cruz. I believe he was signed on to West Ham's youth academy.
The kid recently named in connection with West Ham was surnamed Lletget and based on your description of the photograph I believe that's who you mean. I wasn't aware that he had officially gone over yet, however. I doubt that Omphroy is in Portugal on a favor. Based on his inclusion in youth national team pools, he's considered one of the top players in his age group in the U.S. and I would hope anyone with that distinction would be attractive to professional clubs. So what is Rush doing now? I wasn't aware that the club decided to part ways -- thought it was to do with some kind of financial/other problems with his Italian club that made it hard on foreigners, though my memory's fuzzy.
I try to do my bit when it comes to Vermonters Vallee is currently in Slovakia, as a poster before mentioned, due to his father's job. He's also making video's on youtube that just might 1-up the one the Farfan brothers put out, check these videos. Valinho vol 3 (newest) Valinho (second video) Valinho (first video, includes a friend)
I am not sure on Rush..it didnt sound as clear as you made it out. The way you say it sound legit , but the way I read here was very vague. Oh and the Kid I am talking about isnt Omphroy who I know nothing about yet. The kid I was talking about is still a mystery
Sean said he is going to Betis when I spoke to him a few days ago, he played in MD Majors which is MD's amatuer/semi-pro league last season. He will be training with the reserves with a view to the first team from what he said.

As an aside, Kevin Durr graduated from German Youth Teams to the Air Force Academy. http://www.goairforcefalcons.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/durr_kevin00.html He was a frosh last year and had 3 goals, 2 assists (if you're one of the wretched pukes that uses statistics as a crutch like me) in 17 matches. Given his education path I think it's safe to say Kevin will not be representing the US on the soccer pitch as a professional. Nevertheless, kudos to him. Academically the academy schools are great. It sounds like he is preparing for big things, just not on the pitch. Good luck to Kevin.
