    they have Silva.

    they have Kante.

Potter is not under pressure ... Boehly may not have the fire in his belly.

CFC - all that money and talent - and they remain rudderless.

I didn't say it had to be Ream. But they need someone like that, the glue. It's very important to have a couple of guys like that in any team, that bring the others together and create a, well, team.

Right now I bet these Chelsea guys only spend time together when they must, for practice and PR events.

I wonder if buying tons of players and constant rumors of clearing out half the team doesn’t make the current players less driven to play for the badge?!

Potter and Boehly should watch Conte's post game press conference.

"I want to see the fire in their eyes".

Then go look in the mirror.

Potter said he liked what he saw from CP (and Felix and Havertz after the game and that’s what I expected. To be fair when you score 2 vs Everton it isn’t the attackers fault you don’t win

4th time all season Everton has scored multiple goals. Others were against Forest, Palace, and Southampton.

    Yeah, this is terrible policy.

A lot of these players are probably half way out the door already. They are probably working on their next club, rather than committing 100% to CFC.

I think Potter is too accepting of being good and not great. And hadn’t figured out how to get the team to play with heart. I could still see them beating Madrid. If they actually play with desire they have a good core that knows each other and a ton of talent.

I cold also see them finish bottom half in the league…

Playing in Mounts position and showing better than Mount is a dangerous place to find yourself. But that seems like CP’s better position and potter likes Pulisic. Pulisic started to play a lot before the injury. Mount should play deeper anyway because Mount can really carry a ball out of the deep midfield. Not a 4 but perhaps an 8. Pulisic is a 10 no doubt, and even showed yesterday that he can distribute in very tight spaces and around the pitch. But has had managers in the past who don’t utilize a true number 10. I’m going to catch some crap for this, but that’s why you are hearing RM rumors, because he could replace Modric at the Real AM position and not to back up Venicius.

Cause he wasn’t young so they could spread the cost over multiple years? (Just pointing out there was a method to all that spending.)

True - but I sure love the way my team plays under Dyche is something no fan said ever. Sure Everton may stay up - but then we are all losers for having to watch his team play for a season.

It's still a good post. I do hope the RM rumor is true. I have said a few times before, RM seems to fit his styles and strengths very well.

Fairly sure it was reference to the last time Everton won a PL game at Chelsea (1994) and Preki's time at both Everton and KC.

Thanks, because even though I rewound the DVR a few times, I still couldn’t understand what the commentator was saying.

Potter said he was doubtful due to illness, but he did train yesterday.

If he's up to play 20 minutes, we should see him if Chelsea are still behind. They really don't have another proven attacker.
Edit: Not a goal by Chilwell, but compared to the rest of the team he's looking brilliant at the moment. At least he's trying.

Mudryk is the poorest guy in the first half, according to Sofascore.

You can see CP comes in for him in the last 20-25 minutes, if not earlier.

I don't think Mudryk has necessarily been horrible in comparison to some of the other Chelsea players. But yeah, if CP had missed that shot and made those bad passes, he'd have been absolutely barbecued. Let's see how long the manager thinks CP can make it out there.

I think Mudryk's confidence is shot at the moment. Usually when I say that about a guy, he immediately scores, so let's see.

    Wow, Chelsea is garbage.

The only possible good development for them today is that Kante is back.
