A lot of chatter about Hodgson coming back to Palace. I'm guessing/hoping that's stupid/speculative punditry. What they seem to need is offensive production and he's not exactly known for that. One of the NBC guys mentioned Jesse Marsch as a potentially better solution. But it'll be interesting/telling to see how long Parrish goes without hiring a true replacement... if it drags out between now and May then it might imply that he just felt the need to remove the negative factor in the dressing room, i.e. Paddy? One thing is sure... the EPL is a ruthless industry. And maybe Vieira might actually take some solace in that he ends up with the 2nd longest tenure for that club in the last 13 years, after Hodgson 2017-2021. The only comparable stint just before that was Neil Warnock 2007-2010... wow, I can barely remember that.
Watching spuds vs saints this morning. Not even HT yet and each team has lost 2 players to injury. Saints have lost both CBs and are now playing AMN at CB.
AMN earned a PK for saints in extra time that has allowed JWP to tie it up. Saints need to hold out for 2 min to come from behind to earn a point.
Theo with the assist and a goal vs Sp*rs today, how appropriate, one former gunner and one soon to be former gunner putting Sp*rs Top 4 hopes at risk. They are only two points clear of Newcastle, who have two games in hand, and seven points clear of Liverpool and Brighton, who have two and three games in hand, respectively.
I don't really care who owns a club, all billionaires are immoral to varying degrees. My order of preference is Brighton, Newcastle, Liverpool, meteor, Spurs
I mean sure we had genocide fc but I find it hard to watch a team whose owner had a journalist sawn into pieces and put in bags
The silent poverty and small-town economic destruction induced by the Walton-Kroenke clan is a few thousand times worse than MBS assassinating a journalist. If I got too hung up on that and things like it, I'd be unable to consume anything, much less sports.
No, I’m hoping both Liverpool and Brighton catch fire in every game except their Arsenal matches and replace both Spurs and United in the Top 4. Besides the fact that they are Bonesaw FC, the draw of Champions League football combined with the money they have available would probably see Newcastle very active in the transfer market, and we don’t want that. As far as Spurs and United are concerned, I never like seeing them in the top 4. However, if neither Liverpool or Brighton can overtake Newcastle, then I’ll accept Spurs and United at third and fourth.
Conte going down swinging here. "They're used to it here. Don't play for something important. They don't want to play under pressure. They don't want to play under stress. Tottenham's story is this. 20 years there is the owner & they never won something. Why?"— Dan Kilpatrick (@Dan_KP) March 18, 2023 "Until now I tried to hide the situation. We can fight for what in this period, with this attitude, this commitment? For what? 7th? 8th place?"— Dan Kilpatrick (@Dan_KP) March 18, 2023 Conte signs off the most astonishing press match press conference by essentially saying he can be sacked but nothing at Spurs will change. "If they want to continue in this way, they can change the manager, a lot of managers, but the situation cannot change. Believe me."— Dan Kilpatrick (@Dan_KP) March 18, 2023 Conte burning down the building on his way out.
Neither is paying poverty wages to 2.3 million workers. The Khashoggi murder also pales in comparison to the destruction Saudi Arabia is causing and has caused in Yemen. They're all bad.
Havertz penalty technique is cheating. He stopped in his run up against Everton. If they want to harass keepers, make them stay on the line, all the other bullshit, leagues need to ******** off the stutter penalties.
Was away all day and came back to one of the most enjoyable workouts I've had. On my bike I watched Spuds & PE FC throw away leads in the final minutes. I don't usually bask in the misery of them, but today was different. Gave up a 2-goal lead, lost 3 key players to injury, but that was nothing. The piece de resistance came after the match, when Conte completely lost his rag, simultaneously insulting and kicking the entire club up the backside, from players to chairman, and all but asking to be fired. Hard to know if it was unhinged anger or a calculated exit strategy. Glorious! Da heestory of da tottanum.
He is literally going full Chiellini here…on his own team! Absolutely amazing. The most history of the Tottenham history of the Tottenham take of them all.
