Great day of results for us, all 7 teams around us have lost. Now if we can only win on Monday... :sneaky:

Disappointing not to win as the performance deserved it but when we hit the post inside 1min and Georgie Kelly hits it straight at the keeper from 6yrds you just know it's not your night. Still, it's a good point away from home and now even if the bottom 3 teams were to win 2 games in a row they'll realistically still be below us on goal difference.

It looks like things have come together nicely for Taylor, we seem to be playing better football and are now looking a threat. The January signings have definitely helped, problem is Hugill was the only long term signing so in the summer we'll be having to (as usual) replace rather than build on what we have. Never a dull moment.

18th in the table now, 8pts clear and a big game away against a struggling Birmingham next.

We've signed Tyler Blackett until the end of the season (another one) due to injuries, so it looks like Richard Wood is being kept out to pasture. Bless. :x3:

We didn't turn up in the first half and weren't great in the second either. Another match where I've gone into it confident of a win and we've been second best. The bottom 3 all lost so no damage done thankfully but disappointing to go back to our post-World Cup form, there are rumours that Wigan and Huddersfield might go into administration to wipe off their debts.

Tough home loss (1-2) to PNE today. A win would've gone a long way toward security, and I was kind of (foolishly, in the end) expecting it.

Cardiff City at home on Saturday. Probably need to win that one, as the ensuing fixtures will get a bit more difficult.

I wouldn't get carried away by Blackpool thrashing QPR but *if* they can put a run together it's going to be a case of who's the worst between us, Cardiff and QPR. I think I remember reading that QPR picked up 30pts from their first 16 games so they've been in horrific form for a while. Birmingham and Swansea might still get dragged into it too.

Like Pooks says we really need a result against Cardiff now, a loss would be catastrophic particularly if Blackpool can pick up some momentum.

Why couldn't we have just played well the last 2 games and be sitting comfortably, this anxiety can't be good.

1-0 down at half time and the heavens have just opened up with a bit of a thunder storm. If I was god I'd do the same after seeing us in the first 45mins.

There was hardly any thunder just a few crackles to begin with but the rain was absolutely torrential for a brief time, by the time the 2nd half kicked off the pitch was under about an inch of water, the lines were unclear and the ball wasn't bouncing or rolling. The referee suspended the game on 50mins and then they had a pitch inspection about an hour later and decided to abandon.

It was actually suspended 47mins to be accurate, Cardiff fans seem to think it was some kind of conspiracy by us to get the game abandoned or crap drainage but I've lived here nearly 40 years and don't think I've ever seen it rain so heavily, with so much water falling in such a short space of time. Cardiff fans are understandably angry but it was a bit of a freak shower.

Wigan deducted 3pts for failing to pay wages on time for about the fourth time, that just about seals their fate.

I'm reading that in the tone of Donut Boy's impersonation of Vince McMahon, by the way.

Found these knocking around on the internet.

The referee tested the ball in the middle of the pitch which was least flooded and it still failed to bounce.

Apparently, one of the young lads tasked with pushing water off the pitch wasn't trying very hard and was flagging off the Cardiff fans so they aren't best pleased, but I don't think we'd have been able to get this game going again if we had been 5-0 up.
