I've checked now for the changes between 1950 & 2021 (there aren't many).

    1959: Pele +3 points (now 1st), Di Stefano -2 points (now 2nd), Kopa -1 point (now 3rd)
    1968: Pele +2 points (now 4th), Charlton -1 point (now 5th)
2021: Mbappe +2 points (now 4th), C.Ronaldo -1 point (now 5th), Jorginho -1 point (now 6th/not placed in our voting system)

The 2000s top 35 points totals with Reddit votes included (this is maybe the least informative one, since now there will be some big skewing towards some of the later years, so looking at the podiums or top 10 positions might give a better idea anyway, even if obviously in some years players can get near maximum points and in other years less so)....

This will maybe be less helpful than for the 2000s now I think about it (I didn't go back and check exactly when each Reddit poster started voting though, with IceBlood's document, before making these posts), as some Reddit voters did start to vote after 2010, but for completeness here are the top 35(36) points scorers for the 2010s with Reddit points added in too (I think I may have counted up one point too many somewhere or other too, but don't think it's worth trying to find out where - if a player listed here actually has one point less it doesn't affect much)

    1) Lionel Messi - 1841

Hi again aidin - I am tallying up the votes for 2022 now, and so at this point I will use your original list, but I'm sure it's ok if you still want to amend it to be a joint calendar year/season one like your others, like you thought you might (I can adjust the standings if you do make another post, but for sure it's ok to use the season 21/22 one I think anyway).

That's if you haven't already made a subsequent post (I don't remember it, but I'm just checking through now, and I found your original one).

I am incorporating this as a 1-2-3 vote at the moment, with no points allocated for 4th or 5th. Of course, I can adjust the points to add in more players if necessary (if anamnesis wanted to confirm his vote, with an expanded list of 5 players), at a later time.

Same here, but FadilVokrri has at the moment voted for top 3s in every year he has voted on, so he can expand on the other years too still potentially.

btw, nice goal by Fadil Vokrri here!

2022 Ballon d'Or Revisited Big Soccer panel consensus

    Karim Benzema (France/Real Madrid) - 88
    2 Kylian Mbappe (France/Paris St Germain) - 44

    4 Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium/Manchester City) - 19.5
    5 Robert Lewandowski (Poland/Bayern Munich/Barcelona) - 19

    11 Erling Haaland (Norway/Borussia Dortmund/Manchester City) - 3.5
    12 Christopher Nkunku (France/RB Leipzig) - 2

If you know I did miss any vote let me know of course (but I think I got them all after searching back for posts with 2022 and 2021/22 in, and adding Dearman's too). Tomorrow I will add the Reddit votes in and see what happens (some Reddit voters did vote for 21/22 already anyway, but not all of them IIRC)....

Sorry, ignore my other post from today (brainfade!) - of course Gregoire did give this list for 1950-2021 already too.

So that means I can already update the 2022 standings for Big Soccer votes only, as follows:

2022 Ballon d'Or Revisited Big Soccer panel consensus
    1
    Karim Benzema (France/Real Madrid) - 94
    2 Kylian Mbappe (France/Paris St Germain) - 48
    3 Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool) - 22
    4 Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium/Manchester City) - 21.5
    5 Robert Lewandowski (Poland/Bayern Munich/Barcelona) - 19
    6 Sadio Mane (Senegal/Liverpool/Bayern Munich) - 17
    7 Thibaut Courtois (Belgium/Real Madrid) - 12
    8 Lionel Messi (Argentina/Paris St Germain) - 11
    9 Luka Modric (Croatia/Real Madrid) - 10
    10 Vinicius Jr (Brazil/Real Madrid) - 5
    11 Erling Haaland (Norway/Borussia Dortmund/Manchester City) - 4.5

Now with Reddit votes incorporated again....

2022 Ballon d'Or Revisited Big Soccer/Reddit panel consensus
    1
    Karim Benzema (France/Real Madrid) - 158
    2 Kylian Mbappe (France/Paris St Germain) - 66
    3 Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool) - 43
    4 Sadio Mane (Senegal/Liverpool/Bayern Munich) - 37
    5 Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium/Manchester City) - 36.5
    6 Robert Lewandowski (Poland/Bayern Munich/Barcelona) - 36

    15 Bernardo Silva (Portugal/Manchester City), Federico Valverde (Uruguay/Real Madrid) - 1

That's with 11 votes added via Reddit: it's possible more could let @IceBlood34 know their 2022 votes too still though now maybe I guess (and one of the ones whose vote is included did originally write 'so far' in brackets so potentially could change it - the one who had voted on the most years altogether actually).

@IceBlood34 , before I start showing the 1940s standings I think I should check where I should be finding the votes of @peterhrt and @elegos7 - I think there is a particular thread with their discussions and votes for older years that we were going to be using IIRC? I can't quite think where they are right now, or whether they included the 1940s anyway either....

I think I've identified the 1940s votes on this thread and from Tom's Ballon d'Or 23 player shortlist thread (of course Tom's own votes are now the new ones as posted on this thread of yours though) so might be able to post the standings over the weekend....

I'm thinking it might be the case that the selections of elegos and peter are in effect on the seasonal threads elegos started, and that they haven't reached the 1940s yet actually? I'm not sure @peterhrt whether you've done any 1940s post yourself either for proposed top 3s or top 5s per year/season (like you did for some of the decades after that, as per the posts I quoted and used in this thread)....?

So today I'll show where we are without any votes of elegos and/or peter, but of course let me know where I can find any if there are already some, and I know in any case that any votes either of them would like to make for that decade would be certainly welcome and valued as part of the consensus our 'panel'. Obviously when I go further back to earlier decades these two guys will become a big part of the panel too! (it might be that I'm able to derive a top 5 from their posts and give it double points, or at least use a top 3 from both of them separately).
