I would go as far as forcing the owners to sell. They've not shown themselves to be honest brokers and are not worthy of of being a member of the prem league.

Would be the best deterrent of abuse.
    Strip your titles.
    Sell your club.

Unless the PL declares otherwise. They could just vacate the titles, no winner. The PL could also declare that City lose all their titles, that second place is now the winner and no further adjustments will be made.

But meanwhile, during the Premier League’s four year investigation into Manchester City, they allowed Newcastle to become state owned.

The 3 Liverpool teams that finished second all would have been worthy champions. Mourinho’s United side that finished 2nd in 17/18 was an awful side. In fact, if City (who was miles ahead with 100 points) didn’t exist, I bet Liverpool could have caught that United team and won the league. We were focused on our run to Kiev and knew we only need top 4. If the league was there to be won Klopp would have approached things much differently.

The list of potential punishments is severe, but I wonder if they'll get anything more than a slap on the wrist. Were it up to me, they'd lose their titles, have to find new owners, and lose Premier League status.

The PL have taken a lot of stick over the years about owners, excessive spending, fit and proper tests and so on. This is probably the first serious test of its mettle to see what type of administrator it is.

Is it the 3 monkeys, hear no, say no, see no, or does it actually have teeth? The evidence against City is pretty compelling on the face of it and yes, due process, day in court and all that, but in the long run, this is more a referendum on the PL than City.

Were City to skate here, then everyone will know the state of play and how to play the game; if City get hit hard, then Saudis, Qataris and Boelhys will certainly be taking more than an interested look.

And, if billionaires can't cheat, the value of PL clubs will fall . And the PL is fully aware of that.

But it’s not him…Pep knows nothing and has nothing to do with the +/-115 rule-breaking actions…but, oh, we signed Jack Grealish, great! And Erling Harland? Good work! And…

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has apologised for comments made about former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard before the win over Aston Villa: “They were stupid comments. He knows how i admire him, his career, what he has done for the country in which I’m living and working. I’m ashamed of myself. He doesn’t deserve it. I was defending my club but didn’t represent it well by using his name.”
