Because it’s exceedingly difficult for American born coaches to get hired in top European leagues and be taken seriously as soccer tacticians. Bob Bradley and Jesse Marsch crashing out so quickly mean limited opportunities for the rest of the coaches hoping to get to the pinnacle of club soccer.

I knew this would happen the moment Chris Armas was hired. He seems to bring failure to every post he takes.

That was because UEFA had a statute of limitations that had already passed. The EPL does not and there is no appeal this time. Hopefully they do what is right and if they are found guilty, strip them of all titles and relegate them back to League Two and make them work their way back up. Most likely though, they will probably just end up with a slap on the wrist fine, maybe some points taken away this season.

Will the Galaxy be awarded extra draft picks as compensation for being traumatized as an organization by cheating in EPL ? :)

When the Super League was a threat to the Premier League Boris Johnson asked the PL if they felt they had what they needed to prevail against the Super League. PL responded that they felt they did have what they need but it wasn't an absolute certainty. Boris then threatened to change the laws so that the PL could be absolutely certain. The threat was all that was needed.

In light of that I feel like the PL will eventually get its way with state run clubs as well.

The difference is MLS wants Galaxy to be successful (or at least they used to before LAFC showed up).
I think the Premier League is starting to see the state run clubs as a bit of a problem now.

Being that this is the Other Teams Results thread I don't think it is expected that everyone is going to give a f*ck about everything that is posted here.:)

I certainly hope so, but they did just approve Newcastle’s take over last year, so they don’t seem all that concerned with the influx of money to the league.

Maybe the quick ascension of Newcastle is part of the PL's concern. It's great to have owners with lots of money but Newcastle made it look all too easy to rocket to the top of the table. If they broke any spending rules in the process that's a legitimate problem.

Just to be clear, I'm not against teams spending a lot of money. I'm against teams breaking the rules of how and how much they spend.

the Athletic has a couple of articles about Jesse Marsch today -- i didn't read them, but it has occurred to me that a good predictor that you will be fired soon is bringing in Chris Armas as an assistant.

Wow, just when you think the Galaxy couldn’t look more foolish.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Barcelona has to loan him to another MLS team because of Galaxy’s sanctions?

    Mykhailo Mudryk vs West Ham:

    4 passes completed
    0 shots
    0 successful dribbles
    0 chances created

Not a memorable game for the £88m man! [emoji51]
