For those not following the sub 20, I highly recommend you watch this comp of Gustavo Puerta. Only a matter of time before he goes to Europe.

Certainly woke up the moment Peru scored. There's promise but still things to improve on.

I'll keep an eye on this kid.

It's always fun (excruciating) to pay attention to what sub 20 kids start debuting in the league who weren't called to the NT. Makes you excited if we qualify to the WC and really annoyed if we don't.

Against Once Caldas, Nacional fielded 3 of them. Oscar Perea, 17, played LF. Samuel Velazquez, 19, played LB when he subbed in. Jhon Solis, 18, played LCM.

Each of them is promising, but Solis is the real standout. Lanky and tall, the kid shows a lot of maturity. He can do a bit of everything on the field, but he plays for the team first. Has the ability to thrive as a box-to-box, a 6, or a 10.

If we qualify, guarantee he makes the WC roster.

    Midfield should be okay.

LB and #9 though will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

We had to start Fabra last night for Pete's sake.

LB is one of the hardest positions to find any team club or country. I consider it the most rarest position.

apparently, there was an offer made to santa fe for kevin mantilla from a greek club, and it was rejected. jesus christ thank god, but let's hope he doesn't end up in some shit club anyway or MLS(i rather see him go directly to Europe).

if it’s cali or millos he going to the mls. If it’s Santa Fe he goes on loan to Italy or Portugal 6 months and fails….. Santa Fe has random youth players on loan but they never sell them. Not sure if it’s $$$$ they want or all those kids turn to garbage

    Yes.
But to have Fabra play and not let anyone else get a chance after multiple microciclos and camps shows how bad our situation is compared to others.

A guy just recently got in my radar who I think has a solid chance of making the jump to Europe: Leider Berdugo.

He turned 21 a few days ago and plays CM for Junior, who recently promoted him from Barranquilla.

Kinda like Puerta, dude can do a bit of everything. Great at dribbling out of the press. Lorenzo will definitely call him up to the next Micro Ciclo.
